Which of these JLU characters do you think could spin off in to their own show and have the best tie ins (games, toys...).

I would love to see Dianna get her own show but I don't ever see that happening:sweat:.

What do you guys think

Green lantern could have the best show with tie in toys and the like. BUT...Wonder Woman might be the best choice because they could keep all the current DCAU fans AND gain some young female fans. Wouldn't really care for a Flash show...it would be hard to keep fresh and "serious". I keep thinking it would turn out like a Plastic Man type show.

I'd really like any of them. All three could keep a series going in many interesting directions.

But after having seen the Teen Titans episode "Lightspeed" well I'm just really in favor of a Flash series. They did Flash/Kid Flash right in that episode. No need to get serious just need to de-emphasize Wally's comedic side. He's shown he can get downright hardcore when he needs to. Maybe just have a few "major shake up" type things happen to only slightly "darken" his attitude. Make being a hero "less of a game" to him. And then a Flash series would be awesome.

Sure, now you guys say that ever since you saw Lightspeed, a Flash show would be awesome. But, take it from me, if it were to really come out, you guys would watch one episode, then by the second be like: "This was bad idea." Just because a character does well in an episode that's all about them doesn't mean they are ready to or can have their own show.

It's cool to see them have their own episode, but seriously: 13 half-hour shows all about Flash? (And that's just one season) Would anyone be interested? I personally think you all would get bored after the second episode of the show.

One episode about them is enough. If the writers did it well enough to where you want the character to have their own spin-off, then IMO they did their job. (And, they did that character justice.)

Considering the incredibly rich history that Flash had, I'm pretty sure he could pull off his own series. He's had his own comic for how many years now? I'm sure it could be done.

However I'd rather have a show about the Green Lantern Corp, rather than just one single Green Lantern. I'd certainly be all over that...

What a repulsive image. Flash could be done. In the end, as with Superman, it's the character who makes the stories rather than the powers. Rushing around can be dull, but so can be being super at, well, EVERYTHING. A character is as strong as his writing.

The Corp could be interesting, however with the JLU concept being so close in some basic respects, I would be uncertain whether there would it would suffer from similarities. And again, it depends on the skill of the writing.

I could see Wonder Woman being the most likely. Partially because of the film interest in the character, partially because it excites hormonal teens and of course, it has a wide catchment if done properly - dragging in all those teeny girls calling out with a new decade's cry of "girl power".

Honestly I wouldn't do any of them. I would just rename JL to something like Stories of the DC universe so I wouldn't have to stick with just one character.

I think after something like JL there isn't a series that could feature a single character that would work as well as that.

If you do that then you could see which character works the best in the format and you could go with it.

For now though I think the GL series would work the best. WW is a horrible character and most of the episodes where she's the primary character in JL are pretty bad. Flash I think of right now as a side kick. For him to get his own series something is going to have to happen to give him more of a edge. GL only will work for me if Hawkgirl is with him....heck be really daring and make Shayera a Thanagarian GL

Hate to break it to you, but most Wonder Woman readers are male...

I would love to see a Flash animated series. Aside from his being a great character to begin with, the Flash lore has a different quirk to it in that Wally is continuing a legacy of Flashes, which would bring a different dynamic to the table. Bring in Jay Garrick and Barry Allen (and eventually Bart Allen) and you've got a wealth of stories right there. Also, the Flash does have quite a varied and interesting rogue's gallery (not quite rivalling Batman or Spider-Man's, but certainly better than Superman's).

Ahem. You may have noticed that I like the Flash.

However, I think that Wonder Woman is the most likely, if not from the JLU crew, then by someone else (The Wonder Woman, maybe?)

Not sure if that's reference to my comment, if so, I stated rather clearly that the hormonal teen brigade would be the main focus, BUT Wonder Woman holds a potential catchment for female teens too. Same way Buffy was very popular with mens magazines, but also hit a strong female niche too. If exploited, a revamp and a refocus could maybe swing the largest catchment - which would include girls as well as boys.

I don't really think Wondy would appeal to girls any more than boys . . . I don't think it would be fair to do a series about her because so much Greek mythology couldn't be portrayed without being "sanitized", ala Disney's Hercules where Hera was his mother instead of his stepmother who hated him and kept sending monsters to kill him. Also, Hades would inevitably be portrayed as "ZOMG Hades, Lord of Hell!!!!1", which always drives me nuts because it's not how the Greeks thought of Hades and the afterlife at all.

I'd say the Green Lantern Corps (not just John Stewart) or the Flash. The Flash could be VERY interesting, especially if they started the show before they got his powers and showed him getting them and gradually mastering them and taking his responsibilities as a superhero more seriously. Oh man, I can think of tons of stuff they could do. Serious stuff, funny stuff . . . How about when Wally worked for the IRS for a bit? I don't remember why he did, but I remember thinking, "The Flash works for the IRS . . . BWAAHAHAHAHAAA!" :D

I think the flash is the most kid friendly show, as the flash is constantly said to have high child appeal. He has the best villains (certainly the most colorful!) out of the three and could definitely carry an animated show by him self. So much rich history to tap waiting to be animated. I can't be live he hasn't has his own show by now...

I think Green Lantern would have to coolest toy line, I mean with the right imagination, sky is the limit and this is a brand that IS variant friendly! Green lantern and his pals are SCREAMING for a child's toy line!

Wonder Woman is the odd one out. She may be the third most recognizable icon of DC comics, and had an incredibly popular live action series in the 70's...I just don't see her (in any version) translated well in to a child's program...It would depend on the creative team...If the JL crew have a hard time handling her I'd hate to see them screw her up in her own show...as for action figures? HA, at most a few Barbie dolls for girls.

i think with the upcoming WW and Flash movies, seeing either of them getting their own series is very likely.

I'd LOVE for Bruce Timm to do a Wonder Woman: The animated series, or a Flash: The animated series. how cool would that be!!
