Tomorrow it comes to pass....think you'll be seeing it? I have to give it a look just out of sheer curiosity alone. Talking beavers are just too surreal to pass up.

Saw it last night at our theater's preview.

Overall: It was middle-of-the-road. Picture every LOTR/D&D conventional hero's journey and you have some idea of what awaits. Keep in mind I never read the books, so I may be lenient.

-The better reference to WWII was appreciated.

-The movie took a LONG time to get going.

-The Ice Queen was a well-played character, but...

-The story, through no real fault of it's own, is too cliche'd. We have generic good versus generic evil. This isn't a LOTR movie, so don't expect one.

-The special effects were all right. I do believe these are the first fighting centaurs seen in CG.

-It just felt a little too long, and the ending might throw some people.

Overall: See it if you were a big fan of the books. Everyone else looking for an adventure flick, save your money for Kong.

I'll be seeing it next weekend with my mom, most likely. She's a fan of the books.

I've never read the books, but I have a few friends who will probably want to see it, so if they go, I'll most likely tag along and see it. But I won't be going out of my way to see it.

A friend and I are watching it tomorrow night. Hopefully the theater we're going to won't screw this one up...when he saw Harry Potter IV they messed up the trailer reel (including the Superman teaser), and the last time I saw a movie there, the projectionist forgot to throw on the anamorphic lens for a good minute and a half.

I saw it /w my family earlier tonight. We got in with a huge church group with some connections my dad has and well... small techincal difficulties aside (the film suddenly stopped just after Edmund and Lucy returned back), I LOVE THIS FILM.

It's so... beautiful. Just everything about it was wonderful. The characters, the story, the special effects....

Even if religious themes bother you -and they're really not all that 'in your face' in this movie- you really should see this movie at some point, as the movie's message speaks to *everyone* IMHO.

This is certainly on my 'Must See Again' list.

I'd describe the movie as "Lord of The Rings Jr." Not that that's a bad thing. :)

C.S. Lewis and Tolkien were friends, so it's possible at least one of 'em influenced the other.

I definitely plan to see this movie, as soon as I get a day with
a) suffcient free time, and
b) driveable weather (I live in New England.)

They didn't really influence each other too much.

Lewis' novels were intentional allegory; Tolkien hated allegory.
