Why I'll Miss Batman Beyond

I watched Inqueling today and it was such a great episode (by Bader?) with a creepy ending and some great action sequences. I'm not gonna remember it for those crummy episodes and Max, but well crafted episode slike these. I can't believe we're down to one final episode...

... aside from a few eps that can just be forgotten, there were some gleaming moments in BB.

"Rebirth", "Blackout", "Spellbound", "Shriek", "A Touch of Curare", "Disappearing Inque", "Ace in the Hole" ...

i'm going to miss a lot of things......especially Inque....hopefully they'll bring her back somewhere else.

I dunno - I think Inque is done for. Sure, she's stil alive, but I don't think we'll see her in JL or anything since, technically, she wouldn't even have been born yet.

Can't speak for you chaps on the other side of the pond but just the adverts alone for BB on CN will be sadly missed ... I caught one of them on tape; no sound except haunting strings and quick flashes of various action sequences/menacing poses ... enough to get the strongest of hearts a flutter ...

This is what I call a wonderfull thread!! Put the TNBSA/BTAS part of BB aside for a moment (thought hard to do) and just talk about the good times! I saw Inqueling today too.

And ya know, there weren't that many mistakes (one example being what they did with Max), it's just that they were horribly constant sometimes. So it's not like it couldn't be fixed with, say......ANOTHER SEASON! Hehehe.

Now....back on track once again. What I will miss most of all about Batman Beyond is Terry. He wasn't given the development he deserved, but he is a great character, and it took me until after mid-season 2 to call him "Batman".

To leave someone under the Batman mythos without the development he deserves (nay, demands) is so wrong.

Yep, I'm certainly gonna miss BB. I think Terry got way to little screen time as Batman, and it should definitley have been renewed for another season or 2. But I think what i'll miss most of all, is Blight!:D(but wait, he's dead.....ah, well)

Blight is dead?! There was just some thing about BB that was great. Like the different plots, they weren't like, oh no batman is in trouble, and then he pulls out some gizmo and saves the day. They were more real.:)

I would've liked to have seen Terry use his wits more than his gizmos. I think that would've been a bit better.

What I was trying to say was that BB was more down to earth than most cartoons. It wasn't that unreal, except for Inque and Blight. I loved the episodes whith Curare, they could have been even better if it weren't for Max!:mad:

Yet another reason for another season! Max. Because of her stupid teenager personality change, we've got fans wanting to kill her even more than Curare did when she attacked her! lol.

It makes me pccasionally wish that Xander mutated her. At least there's a chance she'd be a best less annoying than she already is.

Although I'll admit that Max was indispensible on one or two occassions, such as disarming the bomb in "Final Cut" and helping gather information about the VR pods in "Hooked Up", she can still be irksome and too chipper at times, not unlike Babs in the later Batman eps. Why couldn't Terry find a nice dark and moody girl to tell his secret to (well, no, technically she figured it out herself, but still...)

That is Bullcrap. If Max hadn't gone over to the guy'z hotel, The bomb wouln't have needed disarming. Batman Beyond could have gaurded ...uh...Tim Curry... until Curare appeared, and then kicked her *****, like the original plan intended.

I thin the JLU was good, it was just that the episode was a bit of a let down. The first part was very enjoyable, but it went downhill into alot of plot holes in part 2.

Hey:

The thing that I'll miss about the show and probably everyone else will miss is that it's the only show we will see our beloved villions and heros in the future, like what happened to them and how there lives changed from doing certain things back in the cape and cowl days. That's what I'm going to miss from the show cause the writers still can come up with alot of cool stories, and it could have come back for another season.
