While flipping channels today, ran across a promo saying that starting Jan. 12th, KWB is adding "Scooby Doo" to its Sat. morning KWB lineup. Interesting move... presumably, of course, to build steam for the theatrical movie coming out in the spring. Wonder which present show they'll be replacing to make room for the Scoobster (one of the Poke-airings, possibly, maybe, perhaps??).

Yep, the promo used recycled stock footage of Scooby....guess the lowest of the low for such Scooby-stock-footage promos would be to use stock footage of *Scrappy Doo*....

I hope Kids WB knows what they're is doing. :(

Well, I guess Scooby Doo is better stuff than any of the crud they run now. At least, the earlier Scooby shows are. Scrappy isn't the worst cartoon character ever created, but possibly the worst USED character ever created.

It's sad, but you're right... I'd take Scooby over just about any KWB show aside from Jackie Chan.

I betcha Scooby Doo will take over Jackie's timeslot, then! I can't believe they're doing this. I wonder if it'll be old Scooby from the 60s, or if they'll break up the recent DTVs into episodes.

Ok, it's not enough that it airs 80 hours a week on Cartoon Network in its various incarnations, but they feel it needs to be on KWB? "For the movie" by butt. Nobody was promoting good cartoons like Rocky and Bullwinkle and running classic episodes of Spider Man and X Men before those movies came out.

Actually, FOX Kids re-aired the original "X-Men" animated series before the movie came out.

If this is just a temporary thing, then it may not be so bad. It'll be better than most of the crap they got on there. I think this is just a stunt to cross promote Cartoon Network and Kids'WB!.
