Also Justice league get a nomination:
Directing in an Animated Television Production
Dan Riba - Justice League Unlimited “Clash” – Warner Bros. Animation
Well I can't really think of anything this year that tops The Batman VS Dracula, this is good news.

While the DTV movie certainly deserves an award, I'm starting to think these nominations are slightly biased just because it's produced by the WB.

Why isn't JLU up there?
Epilouge and Clash are probaly the two best epiosdes I've ever seen (of any televion show live or animated)
Just those two episodes could beat the pants off an The Batman or other cartoons showing these days
don't really care for awards shows anyway. Different tastes and all, how can you really say one thing is better than the other overall.

As much as The Batman has improved as a show, JLU should've gotten the best animated television production nod. However I'm definitely rooting for the Batman vs. Dracula DTV, which was a fine piece of entertainment.
And kudos to Dan Riba for Clash, which took the supertitans smackdown to a whole new level of brutality. Honestly most of the episodes from season 2 could've earned a nomination.

Why isn't JLU up there. seems kinda sus. Yes. There must be a conspiracy if The Batman got a nomination for Best Animated Program and Justice League Unlimited did not. Stuff like this really aggrivates me, as I find it incredibly insulting to the crew who work very hard on The Batman. We should enjoy the fact that The Batman got (and deserves) the nomination, not backhanding it. Let the fans have their moment. This conspiracy stuff is getting way out of hand. I'm tired of this and it needs to stop. Now.
Can we go back to the topic at hand? Thank you.

Not saying The Batman should be replaced by JLU in nomination, but why isn't JLU in the running along side it.
I can't really say anything about The Batman. I think Thye've shown the first season here in Australia, and from the handful of episodes I've seen, its not something I'll really watch.
and I was just curious to know who nomiates/votes for the nominees anyway?
cool

you'd be hard pressed to find anyone say the stories are always great but the music, VA and animation are usually pretty good for The Batman.

Good for JLU to get some notice. It really should be up with The Batman. Infact... Beside some great animtion and story boarding The Batman isn't that great still. Ninja Turtles 2003 deserves that spot so much more.

Yay for "The Batman"! It may not be flavour of the month for some, but it seems to be hitting it's demograph well and I think this nomination is reflective of that.
It's important to remember that "The Batman" may seem weaker to some of those +13 here, but it's demograph hits a lot lower age group. That age demograph have supported it (and enjoy it) so it shows, as a product, to be doing the job it's been asked to do.
On top of that, few would argue it's improved rather than declined. It's animation is fluid, the VA is solid and the designs are consistent. I can see why it's been nominated. A lot of hard work has gone into this show. So it may not convert all the old Batman/Timm's Universe crowd +13, but it's not intending to - it's there for a new generation and they love it. On top of that, it's got it's own character stamped all over it. Artistically and through demographic popularity, it's good stuff.
Good on the crew I bet they're buzzed they've got this nomination. And as some of the crew are fellow members here, give them your support for a job well done!
Oh and good luck to Dan Riba. I'm glad he's got a nomination for his work on JLU.
As Batman fans, any Batman/DC stuff to get nomination should be a joy. When the face of TV animation ever changing, we need as much public appreciation for the comic action genre as possible! We need the Networks to see that DC shows are popular, creative and worth commissioning! So go Riba and The Batman! :)

While the batman is a good show, I have to say that Avatar is one of the Best animated programs on TV right now and it deserves to win.
As far as DTV's go Batman vs Dracula is the best of that group. So The Batman should win that.
