Saw it at Wl-Mart for $17, is it good as the previous "Alpha" anime?

The cover is catchy tough:

I bought it at Best Buy the day it came out for 15, i still haven't watched it, it got bad reviews, i dont know though i never base too much on reviews. i did hate the first street fighter alpha movie though.

Let's just say that this is even worst than the first Alpha movie, and I didn't think that was possible. <barfs>

for one thing, i didn't like the art in this OVA.
it had a good concept going on but it wasn't used to its full potential. and it was too short. that was the problem i had with SF Alpha Generations

Here are clips from the movie curtesy of Anime Nation. In my opinion the art is nasty looking. The writer and director have some nice credits to their name but one look at Gouki's face turned me away. Manga changed some voices too for whatever reason.

I'll have to check this out during holiday break to see how bad it is.

Unfortunately it sucked, and I'm very forgiving.

Barely any Street Fighters and pretty much only one fight of note. Ken almost gets to fight, but instead is sat on by an old man.

Basically, it sucks.

Hold out for the King of Fighters Anime (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=5924) to scratch that itch you have for a decent video game fighter anime.

well it takes place before the alpha movie so he is still alive ;)

damn, i hate being a completist, because i feel i need to own it, i own all the other SF animes so it'd be weird not having just this one, since i already have the awful SFAlpha i there...

Do Guy, Cody, Rolento, Sodom, Gen, and R. Mika, get longer and more developed roles?
