Who is the best character in Super Smash Bros. Melee?

I really like Bowser, except that he's so slow. When I get Mewtwo, he'll be my new favorite.

fox, but i really like bowser's power. fox was weakened alot and given a faster fall than everyone. mewtwo isn't that great, with his odd physics and slow moves.

Mewtwo, he's a bit slow but I've worked through that little weakness. Nobody can beat me with Mewtwo. :)

I was just about to post something about this... I've gotten mildly obsessed with Smash. Bros. I'm not usually a fighting fan, but the simplicity of the controls (which still allow great room for skilled players to excell over button-mashers) and the idea of winning by knocking the others into orbit is superb! The single-player game is much deeper than I thought, and I'm having loads of fun beating all the event challenges. And the trophies! Baloon fight! SNES Sim City! Ah, the glorious nostalgia.

Though I have to say the single best feature in Smash Bros. is the ability to give Pikachu multiple fanny-reddenings.

Er, to answer the question, I'm leaning toward Link, though I haven't unlocked everyone yet.

I need to play this more, but I am only good with Kirby ands he isn't that good in this game so I just let SSBM rot while I play Pikmin. My brother got all the secret characters so I like Mr. Game and Watch from what I have tried.

With work I can't invest too much time into mastering a fighting game, so that is why I want Star Fox Adventures.

Well, i'd say either Fox or DK, but i voted Fox just because i had the urge. I also like Marth, even if some of his special moves are a little blah.

And Mario and Yoshi are good too.

My Favriote Character Is Fox I masterd him in the First game I also Like Zelda, Roy, and Falco (even if he is a clone of Fox) I still havent unlocked all the Characters (Mewtwo,Ganondorf, ad Mr. Game And Watch) But the replay value of this game is so deep it keeps me playing for hours I'm Still trying to collect all the trophys

I liked Hyrule Temple and Mute City the best. Hyrule because of its huge area, and Mute City because it's so fast and you can blow up the racers.

Bowser is just plain badassed looking/acting/everything,so he`s my favorite character though I have a bit more fun with Samus` cheap moves :D

I have yet to play SSBm, but I rocked w/Pimpachu in SSB so he got my vote.

I finally got all of the secret characters. I think Jigglypuff shouldn't be in the game, because he/she has very few good attacks. Mr. Game&Watch and Mewtwo are my favorites now. You just have to get used to them.

Don't count out Jigglypuff yet... his "rest" move can KO characters with as little as 30% damage!

Yea I know that about Jigglypuff, but it's kind of tough to do that on the really tough computer players. The bad thing about JP is that pressing up and B isn't a jump.
