I'm looking on archive.org and I'm checking out ADV's site circa 1997, one thing that caught my eye was a rumour that Evangelion was going to be on MTV which they said was not true. I didn't even know this.
What or who started this rumour?
Also what was ADVs first ever dub

Speaking of which...
I got the second Devil Hunter Yohko collection this week (back when it was "ADV's Tenth Anniversary" collection). The second disc looks to be nothing but ADV trailers and stuff from ten years.
Grant, you may want to see if you can track that down for some ADVistory.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall hearing that Eva aired on MTV somewhere in Europe...Italy, maybe?
As for Eva airing on MTV in America, I don't think you're likely to find out who started that rumor. I've heard countless "Eva's going to air on CN/MTV/Nickelodeon!" threads prior to its airing on Adult Swim, and none of them had any truth to them. Eva's just one of those shows that naturally attracts people who like to start baseless rumors for attention.

DHY is funny XD
and i actually do like the dub, both the Original VA and Dub VA bought out the character, and made me like her.
