I used to watch LIFE WITH LOUIE for awhile, but then I lost track of it. I haven't seen it in years, so the only episode I really remember is the Christmas one. (Which I think was the premiere, shown in prime-time.) I always liked when Louie's dad just lazily tosses a string of lights into a tree in the front yard and gives a grumpy "Merry Christmas. The squirrels better appreciate this." Haha!!

yea i wish they would renew that cartoon but parents would kill it because of louie anderson if anybody remembers.............

yeah good cartoon, the dad was a great character..this was a little after the success of bobby's world so alot of stand-up comics were given animated shows-super dave, life with louie, little rosie,the wayans brothers,the lily tomlin one based on her little girl character, that i don't think ever got off the ground though...

Life with Louie existed during a time when creator driven toons were all the rage. As a result, times had changed to the point where it was awesome to watch toons again. Life with Louie is a prime example of this. Louie Anderson himself played the voice of Louie's dad! :)

Louie himself stated that this toon was based on his life as a kid and since those events of his life were pretty over-the-top, he decided to incorporate it into a cartoon.

I heard at Louie Anderson's last New Years show in Minnesota he had clips playing of "Life with Louie" in German.
