View Full Version : Why does the Gamecube make the TV crackle?

During loud moments of playing Gamecube (when the rumble pak goes off) the sound starts to make a crackling sound on the TV! It is not the gamecube itself because it doesn't do it when the TV is muted. And does the same thing on a different TV.
During key moments of Pikmin, Mellee, and Luigi, the sound just gets very crackly. Tech support...help!

Are you using an RFU adapter to hook your Gamecube up to what I presume is an older TV?

It could be your speakers just aren't...right for it. Newer computer games do that with older speakers. Something about a path or a...umm...something.

If your GBA crackles, it may be because you're using an old game. They often sound and even look odd.

Does mine and Kiddie's game systems do that because it is a mono speaker set for Stereo? Should I set the Gamecube and the TV to Stereo or Mono?
I don't know why Kiddiesunshine's GBA does that because mine does fine with one speaker. Try headphones with a different game.
