I'd love to race you folks but I can't get connect to my wireless modem due to not knowing my WEP key. When I try to click on it on my control pannel for my wireless connection it just vanishes (so I hit cancel so I don't mess up my settings). I had everything set up manually through Linksys set up site (which is conviently not working right now). Anybody have an idea of how I can find out what my WEP key is? It see's my connection but as long as I don't know the key I'm locked out.

And man this game rocks. I need to go play more.

(lol. The wifi adapter was a waste of money. A firmware upgrade for the home router allowed me to connect through that instead. Much simpler.)

I just got my router to work correctly; two months after I got it. The problem was I kept using firefox to update my router settings, and I had to use Internet Explorer...Now I don't disconnect in matches :)

And speaking of Wi-Fi, my ridiculous firewall keeps asking me if I want my DS to connect. NO MATTER WHAT I say, it won't let the !@#$ thing through!

Any solutions besides opening ports (that could lead to viruses...)?

~s7Are you using a wireless router to directly get your DS online, or are you using the wireless USB adapter for the DS?


If you're just using a router. You can assign the DS a static IP address in there and just open the needed ports on the router.

If you're using the USB adapter, you're going to have to open up a port on your firewall. It should only open if the DS software asks it to open, so it won't be a hole all the time, but you need it to get online with it.
