For a second straight week, Disney's Chicken Little was the overwhelming champ for this weekend taking in a strong $32 million and a two week total of $80.7 million.

Debuting in second place with pretty good reviews (74% rating at Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/zathura/)) was Zathura with a $14 million take.

Also debuting this weekend was Derailed which came in third place with $12.8 million.

And opening as well was Get Rich or Die Tryin' which came in fourth place with $12.5 million and a $18.2 million total since opening Wednesday.

And rounding out the top 5 is Jarhead with $12.2 million and a $47 million total.

Opening in limited theaters this weekend (215) was Pride and Prejudice. It came in tenth place with $2.8 million. It opens wide Wednesday, November 23rd.

This weeks movies booted out of the top 12 were The Weather Man (13th), Flightplan (14th), Wallace and Gromit (16th), and North Country (17th).

Opening next weekend are two new movies. First up is the big one that many have been waiting for... Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=4659) (rated PG-13). This one is directed by Mike Newell who is a new comer to the Harry Potter series. As many know by now this is the first Harry Potter movie to be rated PG-13 and received quite a bit of press about it sort of like Stars Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith got. The film clocks in with a running time of 2 hours and 25 minutes without credits.

And the second film to open next weekend with a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding it is the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=4868) (rated PG-13) starring Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash, Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash and co-stars Robert Patrick, Ginnifer Goodwin, Shelby Lynne, and Hailey Anne Nelson.

Anybody else think Get Rich or Die Tryin' should switch places with Pride & Prejudice?

Not a huge shock to see Chicken Little back in the top spot, but I expected Zathura to do decent as well.

Next week have the one for the kids with Harry Potter and one for the adults with Walk the Line. Since adults also like Harry and kids don't know who Johnny Cash is, I think the choice is clear.

Anybody else think Get Rich or Die Tryin' should switch places with Pride & Prejudice?I don't know if it should since Pride was in limited release, but I'd like to see it.

Chicken Little will not be #1 next weekend. Thats a given.I would love to see GoF come in second. Like, come just $1M shy of taking the top spot, just as a "Screw you Potter fans!"

Of course, I'm going to see it at my earliest opportunity. It looks like they did a superb job adapting the Triwizard challenges. I haven't really been wild about any of the movies so far. The books have a distinct charm which the films are seeming to have a harder and harder time pulling off on their own.

That book has always suffered from too much filler for its own good and a plot intensive film may break the rut.

I saw it. It was cheesy beyond belief, and tried way too hard to be cool. Nice effects, but too many twists made it childish and confusing.Jumanji was much better. 1.5/5

I liked 50 Cent's movie when it was called 8 Mile.

I'm not surprised to see Chicken Little #1 again. I'm surprised Zathura made $14 mil, but oh well. Nice to see Saw II almost at the $75 mil mark already. How much did it cost to film?

As for next week, I'll be seeing Goblet of Fire, and it better be better than Prisoner of Askaban because PoA really really sucked eggs. I have no interest in the Cash movie, it looks quite boring.

Boy do I have to disagree about Zathura -- my kids loved it, and the packed house cheered when it was over, something I hadn't heard this year since Batman Begins. I never saw Jumanji, and although I studied a lot of Van Allsberg's books in art school, I never read his Zathura. Still, I was very very pleasantly surprised by this one, especially given the David Koepp screenwriting credit that made me groan and sink down in my seat a bit at the beginning. The writing was crisp and sharp and the entire movie was very well acted, even by the kids.

Chicken Little wasn't awful, but man, it wasn't good, either.

It's worth mentioning that Harry Potter will have the Superman trailer attached to it...

Ok, so any news on when Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is going to open nationally? I keep seeing trailers for it but I figured it was still for a limited release.

Kiss, Kiss, Bang Bang was in limited release but according to many websites after a quick Google search it is currently right now in wide release after this past Friday the 11th. In fact my local newspaper did review it Friday now that I think about it. It's only in 169 theaters. It came in 18th place this weekend with $830,000 and has a $2.1 million total right now. It has also made $3.2 million overseas.

I would think as the weeks go by, it would open in more theaters sort of like Good Night, and Good Luck has. Just keep watching and look at your local paper for surrounding movie theaters that might be playing it.

I well, I thought I would celebrate my 18th birthday on Friday by going to see Harry Potter, but I figure I'm better off seeing Zathura or Jarhead. I wonder how much it'll draw in at the box office. I'm gonna predict $50 million.

Lost 25% but still pulled in 3.7 k per theater..not bad for a movie that has been out 6 weeks...There is an audience out there for this film, but people must go out and see it...Occasionally, films come out that present important topics, in an artistic and intellignet way..I hope that you see this if you can..It is worth viewing and understanding a courageous reporter and producer who did not give up on a subject when it threatened the whole nation...Stuart

Oh well, I'll have to rent it when it comes to video.
