New Line Cinema's "The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" held on to the top spot for the Christmas Day box-office tally. The Peter Jackson-directed film took in an estimated $11.5 million for the day, bringing its total take to more than $95 million for the studio since its Dec. 19 release.

Columbia Pictures' "Ali" starring Will Smith debuted in second place with $10.2 million in box office receipts, claiming the title as the biggest Christmas Day opening ever. "Ocean's 11," from New Line's sister studio Warner Bros., was third with $4.5M. Paramount Pictures' Tom Cruise vehicle "Vanilla Sky" came in at #4 with an estimated $3 million. Miramax's "Kate & Leopold" starring Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman rounded out the top five with about $2.5 million its first day.
