Well if we went that route people might start worshipping their new thread overlords or something. False deities might get me sent to hell.

No, what we need is a linguist. One who is cunning. Yeah.

Yeah, that was lame. :(

Wow. Nerf Dart Tag looks maaaad stupid. And whoever those actors are in the commercial better be glad their role required them to wear the attire. Maybe they won't get laughed at in the streets. Cause I'm laughing here in the comfort of my own home.

Mabye that's why they're having it at 12:30 instead of earlier. Now is this rating mainly because of more graphic violence, or are there other things that add to it?

Uhm...Major's boobs? (probably) Could be language.

And everytime I watch tonight's Champloo, I laugh at Fuu's line, "She had a good set of hooters." It's the way she said hooters. :D

That is such an awesome promo... and a tachicoma, I thought all of those were scrapped? No matter, the action and animation look fantastic.

For a second I thought the Gigantor promo was going to stop at Gigan.

I was really, really hoping that they'd taken Squidbillies out back, raped it, made it watch its children by dissolved in acid, and then coated its testicles in honey and staked them over an anthill, nailed the corpse to a cross, and replaced it with a show about Artimus Gigan, which would be at the very least better than Squidbillies.

I'd wager that GitS 2nd Gig is TV-MA for violence. At least that's my impression from the first episode. Oh and it's also wicked awesome so be sure to tune in.

Oh and it's also wicked awesome so be sure to tune in.I've never seen a TV-MA rating just for violence. That'd have to be some wicked violence, like that one episode from the first season, to warrant a rating like that, which is unheard of in Action until now. If I had to guess, I'd say they've loosened up the editing standards involving language, and are slapping a TV-MA rating on it to cover their asses (a la The Boondocks).

I'm looking forward to this.

Technically, we're not the one's spelling Artemis wrong.I wasn't aiming for the Greek Goddess when I made this name

There's another, some sort of Sun-God of another culture...I found this out when I came across a user from another board who had the similar name many years ago...

It wasn't just from the Will Smith Wild Wild West movie, or the band Artimus Pyle

If they air the first episode uncut it'd need a TV-MA rating.

Oh, no, as I said, the absolute least a show about you could be would be better than Squibillies. As far as the most it could be, well, the sky's the limit.

I watched the first two discs of GitS:SAC2 recently, and it is much more violent when it gets violent: more brain matter splatter and blood spray. It's very nicely and artfully done, but it's more obvious; I could see where it might end up with an MA sometimes (the sexuality is some episodes might be pushing things towards that end too.) It's also got better animation, story, direction and pretty much everything else, so I think even if you didn't dig GitS:SAC, 2 should be given a chance. If you're not sold with in, oh, 3-5 episodes, drop it.

No kinding about how violent the first episode of GITS: SAC is. I've never seen so many head-shots in that short amount of time.

Expect for playing Halo of course

I take it the graphic content warning card still aired before the episode?

They aired that special card for this episode during Ghost in the Shell's first run, too.

I think that other user was confused. Nothing on Wikipedia, and Google brings up nothing but sites about Artimus Pyle (who's actually a guy, with a band, originally from Lynyrd Skynyrd), misspellings of Artemis, or the occasional post by you.

Out of curiosity, is the Gigan part just the Godzilla monster, or is it something else, too?
