Much Mahalos. Almost everyone I've shown this too loves the hair. I just used one of the standard PhotoShop brushes for it, but it helps when you have tablet. :p

...and yes the chick was cute! I had fun dressing it up. :D

Arigato. I happy you enjoyed it.

As far as my inking goes, I believe I'm still subpar at it. Lately I just ink enough for coloring. I use Sakura pens. They come in different sizes and they don't fade like standard markers. I would like to use a brush and I have a dip pen (hunts 102), but I primarily use the Sakuras for two reasons...
One: No cleanup.
Two: I'm kinda lazy when it comes to inks (see reason one) :D

Thanx again guys!

As a big Dorothy fan, I have to say you've done an excellent job. I love the improv on the lips, it's very dark and Batman-ish. And the chick is great! I (and probably many others) thought that by "chick" you meant a samurai girl, but once I saw it, I laughed at how cute and spontaneous it was! I like the detail on the girl with the chick. She look's a little Saya-esque to me, is that your point or is that your original style? You've really got talent!

Daughterof_Evil:

R. Dorothy came about because I was limiting myself to a small amount of time for practice. I was sketching some models (from photos, I'm too poor to hire any) in non-photo blue pencil when I came across an old image of film actress from the 30's-40's. The model reminded me of R. Dorothy so I tweaked my sketch slightly. Inked then applied limited CG colors.

The samurai chick was indeed a play off the word. The girl with the chick was a quick sketch thrown in at the last second, nobody special. As for style... I don't have any (according to my dance partners) :p

Took me a moment, but by Saya-esque I can assume you mean Saya from Blood: The Last Vampire?

I happy you enjoyed them!
