What was the last episode of the TNBA to be aired? I know about a later appearence on S: TAS but I was really wondering what was the last episode of that series.

The episode Mad Love was the final episode to air, and it aired on January 16th, 1998.

Was Mad Love the last one as far as production goes?

The last one as far as production was Judgement Day, which was episode #109.

Aesthetics wise, I consider Over the Edge to be the last TNBA episode.

I'm curious - why? The episode was episode #98 and the events of the episode....well...were all just a dream, and didn't happen. TNBA doesn't really have a bookend episode, which is just a shame.

Even though it was - -----, the issues that the episode dealt with made it seem like a good bookend episode to me.

While TNBA doesn't have a defining final episode for the fans to agree upon, there will be DTVs, so hopefully we will get to see a defining DTV that wraps things up for the series.

The main story itself was a dream, but in the end there's a veiled hint that Jim Gordon knows that Babs is Batgirl...and is not upset. I mean, on the whole it's better than what some fathers suddenly learn about what their daughters do after-hours. ;)
To me that ending mades it a good finale--something to be built on or not, as they saw fit. Though I do wish we'd seen whether she ever realizes Daddy knows and if that was what prompted her to retire her cape and cowl.

Wait a minute: why are we adding the spoiler bars for Over the Edge? It came out years ago! On the Justice League board we drop the spoilers the week after it airs.

The episode the result of Batgirl's reaction to Scarecrow's fear chemicals. It was a dream!

Just an impulse. I've gotten back into the habit of dong that on the JL Board I guess it carried over and I didn't even notice it.

In a weird way I always liked "Old Wounds" as the end of the series. It just seemed to fit well, at the end, Nightwing forgiving Batman and flying off into the night with Robin... You know?
