...Please do not...and I mean, DO NOT! watch Boomerang in the mornings from 11/23-11/25.
Start your Christmas shopping those days. Go to a movie. Call in to work and say you want to come in to work. Do anything that week...
Why the warning? Because you're not going to be particularly "Tickled" by what you're going to see...

"Tickled" 'U'I have a feeling you're trying to tell us something but I just can't figure out what. :crying:

Gee whiz. I wonder why they're doing this. Probably a 3-day preview or something...

Unless you have a Nielson box, it doesn't matter if you watch or not.

Actually I think it does still matter a little bit somehow. I think they can track who watches their network out of the total households who get it. But maybe they need the Nielson box for that as well.

Letter writing campaign? Best way to get heard.
Internet petitions don't matter.

I'm guessing this is simply just a way to keep Tickle U on 5 days a week. Cartoon Network generally runs a lot of movies, marathongs and such the week of Thanksgiving and thus Tickle U may be preempted those days. Thus, perhaps they are moving it to Boomerang for those 3 days to keep it going.
Especially now that many companies own two local stations in the same market, sometimes similar things happen. When a show get preempted on one network (due to a sports game for example), they'll air it on the other network instead.

the only good part of this is I'm booked to work on "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway" for the Style channel on most of those days. And on Thanksgiving, we're feasting on the King Kong boxset from Warners. But i will write Turner a nasty email.

'cuse me for one second..
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Boomerang's now falling down. I'm not in love with it now as I once did 5 years ago. Aaaaaaahhhhhh, DVD's. Thank goodness old TVshows are still avalable to own.

I never had Boomerang, and where I wanted it up until 2003, DVD's make me not care anymore.
And now I care even less. If it becomes a 24 hour preschool block, There is no hope, and my barely caring will turn into a "I don't give a Damn about the idiots in charge of CN and Boomerang. Show all the childish garbage and Live Action you want!"

What is your job on most television programs that you work on?

They just recently added the Boomerang channel to my cable network like last week and I have to admit it's not as good as I thought it would be. I mean, it's an okay channel. I do watch it alot. It's just not what I thought it would be. Most of the shows that are shown aren't very good. I only like a certain few. Plus the shows aren't shown on schedule. They either air too early or too late. I'd rather have DVDs to be honest but hey I do enjoy watching Acme Hour and other blocks and shows.

I didn't even get to ask if you have any evidence to back up this fact. Do you have it?

Mostly local coordinator for productions that visit NC.
I'm ticked that I won't be able to watch the Acme Hour before heading off to deal with an outrageous wedding - last one we taped had a $6,000 pastry bill.

I really hope this is not a sign a Tickle U network. Also, I thought Tickle U has only four shows. How will they go from 6 A.M to 6 P.M.?
One more thing, WCM you might want to edit your post. You typed marathong.

That's going to sit in my sig for a while ;).
Wait, so Boomerang is going to be airing, "old" shows for a younger audience right? Or the same shows as CN's TickleU?

I find this humorous since kids aren't going to wake up on Thanksgiving and scream "OMG WHERE IS GORDON THE GARDEN GNOME!? WHY IS WACKOS WISH PLAYING WHEN VIACOM SAYS NOBODY LIKES THIS SHOW ANYMORE!?"
Honestly does 12 hours even do justice for Boomerang? It's bad enough than most of my favorite cartoon classics have been removed from the regular CN schedule in place blocks like Tickle U, 7 days of Miguzi, and about 4 airings of KND a day. Now they have to push this block even more on the 120 indviduals (besides myself) to watch this on a channel kids won't even bother with? CN's decisions has been less thought out since the summer.

Everybody please clam down, it is not the end of the world you know, except for Cartoon Network. But don't worry about him because the perison who own's ToonZone will have a nice, little, long talk with him.
Now back to Boomerang. Tickle U is just here of the hoildays, but not to stay. They just need something for Thanksgiving week, that's all. Things will be back to normal again on Saturday, you'll see. :)
So what with Tickle U? I don't see anything bad about it.

Jibus Cripes, Turner. Your animation division needs a restructuring, like, right now.

This is the worst thing to happen for a television network. CN, you need to keep control for your programming or this will become a Nick Jr./The-N type netowrk. In quoting Rondey Dangerfield: "No respect," for classic cartoons.

Poor Boomerang. I just want Superfriends marathons, with short pauses for Galaxy trio episodes, with evening programming reserved for... The Herculoids!!!!!!!
Am I so wrong????
