man, so Hellboy: Animated is finally going down? Been long enough, I remember reading the buzz back when the film premiered. Too bad it's just DTVs though. I was hoping for a series. The show was originally going to be based on Mignola's designs but that's been changed:(

oh well, looking forward to Oct2006
btw, Hellboy must be airing on adult swim

I just read at Comics2Film that Ron Perlman and Selma Blair are going to reprise their roles for the cartoon! I'm really looking forward to these DTVs. I like how they took such a distinctly different take on these characters. I love Mignola's character but it should open to different interpretations such as this one. I think this quirky style will fit the quirky character. I can't wait to see their version of Abe.

A new blog has been started by Tad Stones, who's working on the show, has given a few details, and talks about the previous attempts at the project.

The blog, which will be updated throughout production, can be found here. (http://hellboyanimated.typepad.com/)

It's sounding good so far! :)

I like the style this cartoon is going in. It'd be easy to just copy Mignola's style to these characters but it's really bold to go out and put a new spin on the character's design. I think it works personally.
