Sorry, I couldn't resist.

You know, Stinky Cat, you've started the most threads on this board, a whopping 18 threads at my last count. I don't know if I should be impressed or worried! :)

Just watched the Johnny Bravo Christmas special, and it was AWSOME!!! Van Partable definately deliverd the goods on this one. That special had all the spirit of the entire first season, and then some. Plus there are loads of first season references, and guest appearances. Including Donnie Osmand (Still a little bit rock & role.), and the Santa Clause who still owes Johnny for beating him up in "T'was The Night". (Marry Christmas you pinhead,. Round 2 is Next Year.) The series could've ended with Johnny finally meeting the one girl who dosen't see him as a jerk, and live happily ever after. But the Christmas special did what it set out to do, and that's good enough. Ya gotta love the Bravo Man!! HUH, HAAA!!!

That's why I was asking! I was thinking it might have belonged on the AniGen board if that's what you were talking about. I dunno why it didn't dawn on me that it was Johnny Bravo's Christmas special! http://cwm.mengi.net/s/cwm/alien/laugh.gif

Great to see the old character designs, esp. Suzie....and NO CARL! Johnny is lovably oafish and not ignorant and mean. In fact, after reading his mother's letter he actually does something noble in telling Santa to just forget about him and give everything to Mama this year. I actually felt a bit misty.
A surprise appearance by Donny Osmond (though I'm sorry that Adam West or Farrah Fawcett weren't available).
Watch the ticket line at the airport--there's the guy from the "Schoolhouse Rock" parody, as well as probably a few other familiar faces. Plus the snake from the Jungle Boy shorts was in the cargo hold of the plane...and look for the Scooby Doo ref!
Truthfully, Suzie is the only girl who doesn't hate Johnny con pasion, but ironically she's underage. Maybe in another decade, when they both mature a bit. Though on that, I realized why the character was redesigned when I saw "Aunt Sally's Farm"--look in the audience and there is an older, decidedly busty Suzie seated there. I guess she hit toon puberty between seasons and was replaced with that homely troll.

The way I see it, Carl isn't one of Van's creations, so he didn't use it.

By the way, it was great. It had the comedy you'd expect from Van and then some.

I'm so glad they went back to using the cuter Suzie design.

It looks like it ignored the other version of Bravo altogether, whish is great because those newer episodes were bad, all pointless stupidity. Maybe this was answered before, but why did Van Partible leave the show?

I recorded it, and just watched it. I loved it. It was great to see the first season designs. I also enjoyed the first season refrences. Like about the last time Johnny was in the cargo hold of a plane he was going to the French Foreign Legion.

A JB Christmas special with Van at the helm? Please say CN UK will show this. It sounds great. What was the plot?

Johnny realizies ( on Christmas Eve ) he forgot to send his and his momma's letters to Santa, so he and Suzie head to the North Pole to get the letters there on time.
