We haven't opened ours yet. Only thing I have gotten so far was given to me this morning, it's a Daffy Duck chip bag clip/refrigerator magnet! My dad went to church this morning because he had to cover for a job that someone backed out on, or something. I went to church last night. Anyway, he'll probably be back by noon and we'll open the stuff then. I watched my tape of "Looney Christmas Tales" a while ago...gosh that brings back memories!

Snow White DVD
Bug's Life Collectors Edition DVD

That's it in the way of 'toon related stuff for me this year, unless of course you count the final volume of the Columbia House WB Videos which happened to arrive on Christmas Eve. Admittedly I had paid for it myself, so I will have to consider it to be a present from me to me. :D

Aside from that I got the token clothes and socks and a new vacuum cleaner (ain't that keen?)

As you can tell from my list, I'm somewhat of a comics nut (I can't to read the Calvin and Hobbes book). I was also going to get the book, "Beetle Bailey: Still Lazy After All These Years" but it's on back-order. I'll get sometime soon, hopefully. It's just a matter of the book company shipping it out.

Hope you all got some cool stuff and Merry Xmas!

The stuff I got this year are a Mel Blanc "Speechless" Moving Picture Poster, LT paperweights of Bugs in Drag , Olive Oyl and Wimpy toys , a LT watch with the character's faces representing the time, a jacket with the WB logo in the front and some LT characters in the back, a new VCR (which I really needed) some more blank tapes, the book "Hollywood Cartoons" and $40. This was my favorite Christmas of all.

Foley Is Good:

I have already seen "Clerks: The Animated Series" on video... hence why I asked for it for Xmas. It is hilarious... a non-stop (and non-sensical) romp through the mindless and the absurd in six back-to-back episode. IMHO, Episodes Two, Three, and Four are the best. The ending to Number Four has me in tears every time.

As for "Encyclopedias Brown and White", here's my favorite strip from the book... Peter and Jason are in the family car next to a drive-thru window and the car is decidedly slanted... largely due to Peter's massive lunch order. Jason questions if Andy is aware of the car's suspension qualities while Peter tells the attendant, "No, no - the octuple burger was WITH cheese."

Well, as far as cartoon stuff....

A bunch of Simpsons toys (it doesn't help that my brother, my mother, my cousin, and myself all collect them, so we pretty much rotate money around on the same items) :)

A set of the ceramic Looney Tunes figurines for the Snowvillage collection

I envy you guys utterly...I'm lucky to get clothing, blank tape, or those newfangled "mart" gift cards  . Folks expect me to get my own computer-related items. I gave dad a package of screen cleaner wipes, and one of those new-old mouse pads (they're going back to being thin again, but the material is far more resistant to the flaking/burring/whatnot than fabric-topped ones, plus they're skid-resistant)

Oh, and did I neglect to mention...scratch-off State Lottery tickets! (I won $10! :))

Mother to Bob: Animation-related items? You're kidding, right?
