Cardcaptor Sakura: Vol. 1 - A big thanks to Gloria_Harp for the recommendation! This was my first anime subbed with the original Japanese language track, and I enjoyed it throughly! I love the character of Sakura. Cute, funny, and always has some great lines. Beautifully drawn and animated.

Galaxy Angel: Vol. 1 - Hilarious! This was one I picked out for myself to try, and I wasn't disappointed. With great animation, funny light plots, and tons of laughs. I like all of the characters so far. I watched the dub on this one, which was very well done.

Nadia: Secret of Blue Water: Vol. 1 - This was very enjoyable. A personal thanks to cetuskun for the recommendation! Good animation, great English voice acting, and good writing. As I was told, the female villain does remind me of Jesse from Team Rocket and all three were great. I like the characters, and the humor and action were both well done.

The Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses: Vol. 1 - Very cute and funny! No plot at all really, just pure silliness and fun! I also recognized Wendee Lee (Miss Spelt from Tokyo Pig) as one of the voices.

Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat - Vol. 1 - Very cute and very funny. Relentlessly energetic. Love how the main character wants to do good deeds. Very nice animation too.

I'm going out of town Friday, so I went to Borders and bought volume 7 of the FMP! manga.

YEAH!!!!!!!!! My "InuYasha Season 2 Limited Edition DVD Box Set" and "Ranma 1/2 Season 1: The Digital Dojo DVD Box Set" came in the mail today from RightStuf.com!!:D :D They look excellent on my shelf (IY S2 goes especially well with IY S1), and I absolutely CAN'T WAIT to watch them!! I am officially caught up on IY DVDs for about a year, until S3 Box and Movie 4 come out. Thank God I got these, I really wasn't expecting them to arrive today, but to my surprised delight, they did, I got my Takahashi loving claws on two extremely great new box sets!!!:anime: Absolutely awesome!!! (my brother seems a bit jealous of IY S2, though, but I am not gonna let it bug me, he chose to buy CCS Box 1 when it came out, knowing he would have to miss IY S2, I on the other hand, adore IY just as much as any other anime I've ever seen, so I NEEDED to get it right away)

btw, cool note for anyone else wanting the Limited Edition box, it has all 4 of the Hanko block stamps in it, not just one randomly inserted :anime: (though I think Kikyou's was cancled, since there was one for Sesshoumaru, Kagome, Inuyasha, and then the official IY Japanese logo (all Kanji, mind you), but no Kikyou. Oh well, great anyway!)

Samurai Champloo vol.6 - Comedy gold. Pure comedy gold. And some insanely great action scenes. Wish it had more episodes though.

Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG LE vol.1 & 2 - Seriously excellent stuff. I mean, when IG throws down, they just make everything else in the industry look like puke. Excellent immensely engaging stories, insane animation and a soundtrack that can't be beat. I don't often stop everything I'm doing to watch a show. However, I marathoned both discs this evening and I feel the better for it.

Another update!

I recently got the first volume of Princess Nine. Watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Love the main character and the music (orchestral!) is great.

I loved Adventures of the Mini-Goddess so much from Vol. 1 that I bought the complete series set! :anime:

First volume of Jubei-Chan arrived in the mail today, but haven't watched it yet.

Probably no more anime purchases for at least for the next few days, as I bought Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound box sets on the American side of things. ;)

Well, I got an anime that I suppose is fairly controversial.

The Dimensional Fleet Zipang.

Japan's newest Aegis cruiser, Mirai, is catapulted back into World War 2 by a mysterious storm, appearing in the midst of the Imperial Japanese Navy battlegroup on the eve of the Battle of Midway.

It's a lot different from Silent Service, which was a lot of right-wing nationalism. The Americans are treated very kindly in Zipang: Commander Chris Evans, Commander Hutton, Maj. Genral Vandergilt - they're all portrayed as human.

The rest of the IJN, with the notable exeption of Lieutenant Tsuda, are complete utter bastards, although Taki and Kusaka take the cake in bastardness.

Taki and Kusaka were Academy classmates, so maybe bastardery was a hallmark of that class.

And quote for LOL factor: "You talk like a pussy, you must be Navy!"

I got the final Gundam SEED movie with the box and I must say the box is awesome. It's sturdy, it's got nice artwork, and it's got a nice design. I was expecting 'After-Phase' to be included, but it was not and even though I've already seen it, it would have been nice to have on the last movie DVD.

I also got a number of other things since I last posted in one of these threads, but I'm not going list them all except I got volumes 3 and 4 of Sailor Stars late last month. I can't wait to get the final two volumes, because I've already gotten an e-mailing telling me they've been shipped. Volume 6 has a pretty box:
