Thanks a lot Goopy!
Now, as long as we are on this subject, I would like to announce that I have 12 Felix the Cat video files. I do not have space for all of these on my own site, but if either you or tvisland want them, I can certainly either upload them via FTP or e-mail them. If neither of you want these, then I can try to put them on my own site and rotate the files each week or so until all of them have been posted. I would like to share these files with everyone here. :D I was considering waiting until Nelson did Felix as his character of the month to release these but WHAT THE HECK! I'll share 'em now! :)
Here are the few files that I have currently available for download:
And Merry Christmas!
Edit: I have removed these files from my website because Geocities said that I was using up too much bandwidth. But you can get all of the files from Goopy.

I think you can only download one file at a time. If you try to connect again, the server will reject you.
If anyone has a problem logging in, try to use PASV mode!
Joe, e-mail me and I will give you a special login so you can upload files!

I believe you need an FTP program of some kind. Look around for WS_FTP, that's a pretty good one.

I watched one of the Felix cartoons on my AOL Real Player - for the first time , but the rebuffer near the end(the last one?) stayed so long, more than the others, that I had to try something hit-or-miss. I ended up pressing play, able to see what I had so far, but it only went past the earlier buffering point slightly, up to 6:30 (the cartoon goes up to 7:01 or so minutes) and it stuck exceptionally long there. I started to cartoon a couple more times, both only up to 6:30, so I had to give up.
How do I get past that kind of thing to the end? I don't even know what'd come next precisely, this being my first video on AOLRP.

Mibbitmaker--I guess you are streaming the video? It sounds like for some reason it stops streaming at 6:30. I'd recommend downloading the video using an FTP program like WS_FTP and then viewing the downloaded file. This will take longer but it will be clearer and should solve this problem.
I'll try to put up some more files tonight.

I enjoyed those Felix cartoons allot Joe! I loved "DOUBLES FOR DARWIN." The last line is hilarious! I never got a chance to see the Surprise, though. Can someone give me a hint?:p

I'm not the one who uploaded the surprise, but it is still there, (check alphabetically for surprise.mpg) and it is so big that it must be a movie. Hmm...I'll have to try to download it tomorrow, it is too big for me to try downloading now.

I downloaded the file now. It's not a Movie, just a cartoon who is also available as a realvideo file. (it's just so big because mpeg files are much bigger then realvideo files)
But it's nice to have a rare cartoon in a better Quality then realvideo.

I also did have a look. The "large" versions of the cartoons really are admirable, they are almost as good as video tapes (and they don't wear off with time). [And of course I was lucky to have a cable connection to download.]
Thanks a lot, Goopy, for your unique service, and I am looking very forward to updates.

I've been on at least twice, but since the server won't work with Go!Zilla, only with a pure FTP'er (I use WS_FTP too, mostly to maintain a library of FAQ's I never look at :o), the large files take 2-2½ hours on a 56k line...

Thanks! I was always making the large versions, but I could never put them anywhere (not even on I-Drive). This is the first time anyone could download them. I lost the large versions of a lot of cartoons when my hard drive got messed up a few months ago. Maybe I'll make them again when I have time.
