It's weird, but my VHS copy of MOTP has a comic adaptation in the back of it. It's not as good as the movie itself, but still looks good.

That's a digest size version of the comic adaptation DC released the same month the movie was released. I still have botht he prestige format and newstand edition of the comic adaptation. Plus that dinky small one that cane with the VHSes. I thought it was good. The art was cool and the writing was not too bad. Better than future adaptations like SUB-ZERO or WORLD'S FINEST. Those were badly done.

I hate adaptations. they're ALL badly done, from ROTJ to Batman Forever, they are ALL cheap and crappy

Not all of them are. The MOTP adapatation was veyr wel done and looked great. Mike Parobeck did a great job on it. The best thing about the MOTP adapation was that the comic creative team did the adapation, not just a couple of artists. I didn't like the WF adapation because the art was sub-par. ROTJ was good, but the production values obviously shoddy. MOTP remains the best movie adapation ever...

The BATMAN movie adaption was great. And the BATMAN RETURNS one wasn't bad. I have the one with the painted covers.

I liked the artwork in BATMAN RETURNS. I thought the adapations for FOREVER and B & R were very shoddy. To this day, I still can't find a copy of the BATMAN movie adaptation. Nowheres at all, and I've been to 5 or 6 comic stores. MOTP still reigns as the ebst movie adapation.
On the subject, the X-MEN MOVIE Adaptation was quite possibly the worst one ever done. The artwrk was rushed and the comic barely resembled the movie at all.

I never read comic book adaptions of movies. I mean, what's the point anyway? I'd rather watch the movie.

This might count as an adaptation: I read the novelization of "End of Days" one day. Months later, I saw the film, and from that moment, I hated novelizations of movies. I mean, they changed the freakin' ending in the novelization!!

NO DG, the worst movie adaption EVER was for the 2001 POTA. It was terrible! I read it and couldn't believe I had actually spent money on it. But yeah, X Men was pretty bad too.

You know, I finally thought of a comic book adaption that did the movie justice: Marvel's adaption of the original Star Wars. I must have read that a hundred times, and it contained the scenes not included in the movie!
