If you could add an eighth member to the Justice League, who would it be and why?

I wouldn't want to add an 8th member. I'm very pleased with the 7 members they have now. These 7 members in my opinion make up the best JL team ever.

i agree-- to me this is a sweet lineup-- they arent lacking in any capacity

i have a LONG LONG list of heroes i want to see maybe make guest appearances (or maybe in a Brave and the Bold TV show -- think about it WB people!)

but as for permenant members...........nope none

well i'm happy with what they have, but a few episdoes with guest apperances wouldn't be bad
i think they should do things like with Aquaman and have longer stories (2, 3 parters) and then before the next season see which one the audience liked best and then add someone
if there is one person that shouldn be there and isn't , its aquaman
after that i'd go for green arrow or fate or black canary

wouldn't it be awsome if there was some sort of future thing where they meet or somehow see the future JL?? like in Batman Beyond?? that'd be awsome!
Ofcrouse, that would probably involve a whole chessy, "Ok now we have to erase ur memory!"

Well im also content with 7 members but that doesnt mean it would necessarily make the team worse to add a character (once the first 7 have been sufficiently developed at least.)

So if there had to be an 8th (and I couldnt just swap John Steward for Kyle Rayner) i'd pick either Dr. Fate or Green Arrow. Aquaman isn't really JL material in the animated universe thus far if you ask me. I think he's cooler than both Doc Fate and Green Arrow, but i'd rather see him make frequent quest apperances and still be kind of an anti-hero.

Actually, if you think about it, Aquaman kind of is the "unofficial" eighth member. Check out the model sheets at Cartoon Network's JL home page, Aquaman is the only non-member with one listed. His absence is dwelled upon in interviews (such as the ones that appeared in T.V. Guide, Starlog, and Cinescape).

Now, he didn't join outright, but now the creative team has the perfect setup for the character--they only need to write him in if the episode specifically calls for water scenes! He's almost a member--but he's even more of a reserve member than Batman.
