Just wondering what everyones TV is hooked up to antenna, digital antenna, satellite analog (I don't know too many people that has an analog satellite), satellite digital, Cable analog, Cable Digital, Fiber (This is very experimental I only think test groups have these)
I have Digital Cable from Rogers. I really like Digital cable. Rogers has the cooliest boxes I love the TV guide for those things since I can easly find out what is playing and do it while still watching the channel, it makes channel surfing much more easer. The other day I turned it one and went skimming through and found P&tB christmas special, I would not have missed more of it if I wasn't for that online cable TV guide. plus I love how it can get the VCR to record shows it self oh and the reminders are neat.
the problem I have is the cost due to the analog end. If they dumped all the channels on to Digital so users didn't have to also pay for analog service it would be soooo much better.
Anyway what service is the rest of you on?

You didn't have to give them your first born? that is cheap :)
Anyway I remeber when I first got cable it was like 10 buck a month then is slowly got more expensive. In theory Ditital cable is cheaper (in a cost per channel sense) but they don't put all the analog channels in the digital service so you have to pay for analog service as well, I hope they change that in the future

I know I have cable...and that's all I know. As long as I have NBC, The WB, TLC, and The Sci-fi Channel, I'm happy. Oh, and MSG for the Yankee games. Need those Yankee games. :D
Ah! and Cartoon Network. I forgot about Cartoon Network, but only for Batman Beyond. I don't watch anything else on it.

I don't see the quality diffrence Do you mean they have all the channels they have on the analog service digital on the digital service? cause here if I didn't have to pay for the channels that are only on analog it would save me a hell of a lot of money (I did the math and the price per channel on digital is less then half the cost of the per channel cost of analog.) As for picture quality natch there is no diffence watching the analog channels through the box but the digital channels do look better on a good TV.

We got a BELL EXPRESS VU Digital Satellite dish, which is just the bets thing. The pictures are nice and crisp, and there's always something to watch. the TV LISTINGS channel makes searching for programs real easy.

Time Warner Cable. Don't have the digital package.
There's nothing on the digital end I want; my two big networks (TCM and CN) are both in the basic package.
Also, when I was in New Mexico and suffering under TCI's cruel regime, every evening at 6 pm sharp, TCM and the other digital channels would start suffering technical disruptions. Idiots.

Strangely enough, the town of Conway (Arkansas) owns its own cable, electric and water companies, so that's what I've got. The rates are fairly decent, and it's nice to be able to pay all that with one bill...

I used to have (get ready for it)
NO CABLE! (gasp)
But then my mom got Express Vu last month. And Nightflower lived happily ever after. The end.

Analog cable for me. I am too poor to be able to afford all that digital stuff. It's too high priced for my blood.

Well, I currently have cable television from CableOne, who bought our region from At&T, who bought us from TCI. Both TCI and and AT&T promised upgrades and raised rates accordingly, but nothing ever materialized. CableOne is runnign ads showing the areas in our town which are currently being upgraded, of course they haven't come to my part of town yet...but the trailer park is fully upgraded!
As for what I have, I just have normal analog cable and it sucks. I get so much dot crawl in my pictures, and TiVo has a hard time encoding this so it looks even crappier. My NBC affiliate sounds like its under water, CN has a crackling sound half the time, and FX's sound only comes out of my rear speakers.
That being said, by this summer I shall have moved onto a DirecTV/CableOne combo. I'll be keeping CableOne lifeline service for local channels and to give my stand alone TiVo something to record off of, that will be 3 tuners with which to record shows :D . Plus, hopefulyl they'll have cable modems by then.
