Gamestop, EB, and Best Buy will also be getting 360 kiosks within the next couple of weeks. My store should receive it's unit this week. I hear there are a bunch of demos for games like Obilivion, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Call of Duty 2, and more.

Are they being showcased on regular TV's or HD-TV's? :)

Nice HDs.
I got to play one, after sticking behind the person who doesn't get the "If you're playing a demo and someone's behind you, you pass it off when you die" rule...

Funny... at my Wal*Mart we have the "You'll play when I'm done playing or you can go do something else," rule.

Funny. Every game kiosk I would play in a store always had a 5-minute play limit before the console would reset. Why don't they do the same for these consoles?

I wonder how long it'll take before these kisoks have permanently broken controllers...

I wonder how long you can play them until employee's take the demo disk out or unplug the controllers.

We got one at my store (gamestop) Friday, and while it is nice looking, the demo games are pretty uninteresting. I sort of enjoyed King Kong, but Call of Duty and Kameo are snore fests to me.

It seems Wal-Mart has turned off the 360s because the controllers' wireless frequency was disrupting their wireless "hand scanner" system.

That is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. Honestly who believes this? They have regular controllers remember. Why use the WiFi one that costs $10 more? Kids are just going to take the WiFi and run and run and run around the store with it. Obviously MS just wants to tease their customers in the same fashion they did with the first one.

I've no interest in Kameo, but do they have Perfect Dark Zero playable? That games been getting pretty average reviews, which is sad, since Microsoft is touting it as the second-coming of videogame shooters.
I hear most people liked Call of Duty though.

If every demo system has the same disc (which I would assume is the case) then no, just videos of a bunch of potentially GOOD games, then Call of Duty, Kameo and King Kong.
I just never really thought that highly of the military shooter, and Call of Duty, while not a bad game, seems strictly by-the-numbers. The graphics are okay, but not impressive (typical modern PC fare), and the gameplay isn't anything new.

I played around with is some today. They system is alot smaller than I thought it was and the controller feels really confortable. I only had time to play kameo and it seems like the type of game I'd enjoy. While the Graphics looked excellent they don't seem like something that could'nt have been pulled off on the regular Xbox.

Kameo looked nearly as good when it was an Xbox title, the big difference is the ammount of characters that are can be put on the screen at once.

I bet it looked just as good on the 'cube too!
And what's with the main character having some serious cleavage?
I thought this game was for the kiddies!

I gladly used up a lot of my time at the 360 kiosk today...the people behind me probably hate me:p :p :p
The controller feels awsome. I was a little skeptical since I love the current XBOX controller setup, but the 360 just feels so right its scary. The guide button is a great touch. The conlsole itself looks great too.
I like the Call of Duty demo, but it was more of the same. The graphics were great though.
Kong and Kameo didn't interest me much, but Kong had awsome Choas Theory like graphics.
The Ghost Recon movie had me drooling...

Played COD 2 today. I gotta say the graphics really impressed and almost makes me want to hunt down a 360 come launch day when I was planning on waiting.

The big problem with the kiosks is that most Wal-Mart kiosks have their settings configured INCORRECTLY, and the video is set to 480i. 480i upscaled to 720p looks ATROCIOUS, especially on an LCD HDTV, which may be why people think the 360 is not much improved over the Xbox. In order to fix this, you have to go into the dashboard and fix it to display at 720p.
480i isn't even progressive scan, it's standard definition (two 320x240 fields). And while it looks fine on a regular TV, when it's displayed on an HDTV or computer monitor it looks bad bad bad.
