Please post your thoughts/review of Cowboy Bebop: "Waltz for Venus" in this thread. The best will be included on the Adult Swim fansite's episode capsules.
I didn't feature last week's stuff because.. noone really submitted anything of value. Do as people did with Justice League's "The Enemy Below".. write a paragraph.. write two paragraphs. Write however much you need.
But certainly not just one line.

They cut an entire scene....
......
............why....
Really? What was the scene? When they showed the bullet flying through Roko (was that his name I already forgot) I was pretty suprised.

There's more to the scene where Faye busts in. Much more. The guy isn't just humping his bed you know. There's another guy in there with them.

I never really saw Spike as a "teacher" type...but in this episode he plays a mentor of sorts to a somewhat hyper, ratfaced young man/petty crook. The "water" speech, which seems right out of a karate flick, is a highlight--quiet and peaceful one minute, the next striking down with crushing force.
Rocco has a sister, who is blind because of the spores that drop from the floating plant masses in the Venusian atmosphere (was anyone else thinking of the sax player with the blind girlfriend in Big O?) He stole a medicinal herb for her, but runs afoul of some thugs that beat him bloody and later kill him. Sadly, Rocco's sister will never get to see her brother when and if the doctors can restore her sight. Spike assures her that she sees more without eyes than most can with.
Listen to Spike's voice in the Venusian atmosphere, which is helium-rich. He sounds like the gerbil in the Joe Cartoon webshorts.
Greatest bit, right in the opening sequence--after the plane is hijacked, Spike "awakens" and "acidentally" pops a terrorist in the face while yawning and stretching his arms. Then he "accidentally" butts his head into the guy's jaw, knocking out four or five teeth. I howled with laughter.
When Faye busts in on a suspect, the man's partner--man or woman, whichever--is digitally edited out. I also suspect the spatter of ichor when Rocco is plugged is edited, too--the bullet ripping through his back and out his chest was too darn clean.
Great line: "Lady Bounty is fickle," says Spike at one point. "That's Lady Luck, f.y.i.," corrects Faye tersely.
