So, new animated series, CGI/live movie. And a proposed Live Action syndicated action show(not like the saban p.o.s). Hmm...

Looks like we needs a little discussion on the matter?

This was the pinacle series that a lot of us, I'm sure, grew up on. One way or the other(Movies, TV, comics, magazines..TMNT was everywhere). Its had some unsuccesful comebacks in the past few years(The comic was good..just not great. And while the Saban TMNT could have been good..it was simply "bad". Or.."Unbareably bad"...yes). But this time around, it looks like they have a good handle on the Ninja Turtles relaunch...

If they're sticking to classic Turtle style(Choppin' peoples heads off...cussin'...dark humor, with a "We're giant turtles" twist..), I'm in hopes for the best. While the classic 'toon' was good enough when I was a kid...I'm ready for a more mature connection right now. The "Cassey Jones lops off someones head with a hockey stick" kinda mature. Haha! And while I know the animated series wont be to that level(They said it'd have more of a Batman Beyond approach?), I have high hopes for the movie.

hmm..think they're gona make Shredder's suit black, instead of purple? haha! Oh...poor Shredder...

In conclusion.......................................................Think Playmates Toys will do the figures?

I strongly dislike CGI unless it`s as good as pixar-level.......I dunno,I just love cel animation.

I`m not too into maturity either...I like a show either way,so i`ll be caring more about wether baxter stockman (in fly form) makes an appearance than wether people die :P

...I saw shots from the proposed CGI tv series that was never picked up...I didnt really like how it looked...and the mousers were just metal balls with spider legs! I liked the old ones!

TMNT was GOD when i was little. you heard me! a mature series won't work for me. i'm old-school. the cgi should be remakes of the original show.

Things that are "mature" are not necessarily good (R movies have cussing and lopping off of heads, but I can't begin to name all the cruddy R movies out there). Plus they'd have a bigger audience if they marketed it to little kids. I was a huge fan of the original series (*turns her nose up at failed live-action series*). My favorite turtle was Raphael :)

I am definatly ready to see a new Turtles series. I'd really like to see the show a bit more up to date and maybe a bit more mature, like a BTAS approach at least. I know that won't happen, but the BB style will do. I just wanna see some more Ninja Turtles...

I had (and still have) every single Turtles toy made beffore The next Mutation.
I'm sure there's no way they can top the original theme. What do you think?

Yes, same here. I wonder who at WBA will be working on the new series? I just hope it doesn't turn out like recent KWB-WBA efforts, "Static Shock!" and "The Zeta Project."

Same here. The Turtles cartoon were heavy on action and I still want to see that. But then again, I realized that the old CBS episode could fit currently on KWB with no edits or changes. It would be great is KWB did to Turtles what they did with Batman and bought all the old episodes to air on weekdays, and air new ones on weekends.

I agree with Batman, the original theme was excelent! I absolutely hated the "Next Mutation" Theme..to..."Surfer".

And yes, the proposed CGI cartoon had terrible animation, compared to something like Mainframe Entertainment shows...eck...(Although, the pic of them standing, with the light glazing over their bodies was REALLY GOOD)

Baxter Rules! I loved Baxter. I'll start praying to God that he's in the series(since he probably wont be).

Overall, I'm more into "twisted comedy-action". And I think Ninja Turtles would make an easy transition...Giant Turtles, who are skilled in Martial Arts, fighting a big guy covered in blades, named "shredder", and their mentor is a giant Rat with no ear!! C'mon!!! haha! Hmmm...think Krang would help the show, or make it less interesting? Should Shredder just stand on his own?

Krang is actually what first got me interested in the cartoon (I thought he looked neat, being an alien brain and all,so I started watching it and wound up loving everything in it :P) so I wouldnt mind him being in it...if they just HAD to update everything to be "cooler" theres a lot of potential for gross creepiness in a new krang design.

I`d rather them keep the character designs as close as possible to the original comic or cartoon (I never got to read the comics, but I`d still want them to remain true to..SOMETHING...instead of a complete makeover that would probably fail)

Firstly, Raph is my fave turtle too. Nice to see another fan out there. :p

Two, keep in mind-they could do well with a mature series. Millions of turtles fans existed at its hieght, and those millions of fans are now young adults. All those fans are ready to see the fab four more grown up...just make sure some humor is kept and you could do what you want with it.

P.S.: Dunno if Krang could be used well in a mature series...
P.P.S.: I was probably one of the biggest turtles fans in existance as a kid. Most are gone, but I had every freakin' peice of merchandise I could find. :p

I dunno, and Alien-brain-head could do well in a mature turtles series....as long as he's in that tiny little robot body(just legs, & a dome? If they used his giant robot-body, that looked like a fat man in a red diaper.....that'll need to be updated just slightly, ya think? ;)

i loved the turtles when i was little. i was there opening day to see the movie. donie was my favorite. i was excited when the new live action series came out on fox, but then very disapointed after a couple of episodes. if they make a new series, theyd need to have all the original characters. bebop, rocksteddy..crang..the works. it would be nice to see it aimed at a slightly older audience and not have the whole "dont run with sharp objects kids, you could hurt your self" feel to it......and oh yes, leave venus out of the intire thing, man she sucked.
