Me, I can't wait to see what exactly it was that made Fox, home of Temptation Island and When Animals Attack, nervous.

I better set my VCR for this one. This should be good stuff.

--on a satellite cheater feed. I can see why they plan to show it three hours later than usual--the concept of an evil, depraved, tyrannical Santa robot is frightening, esp. for kids. Plus you may never quite look at elves the same way again, either...but that's all I'll say for now. ;)

How do you get the cheater feeds?

DR. BELCH

Also called "wild feeds", they appear on certain satellite packages. But they're very unpredictable. That's why I miss a lot of FOX shows like Family Guy and The Tick, because that station is stacticked out during prime time a lot. Cheater feeds tend to run programming at weird times--I watch X-Files at six-thirty in the morning on Sunday, followed by KOTH, and I have yet to figure out where they're putting much of the weekday lineup. :(  :wakko:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Serves FOX right! By airing it a year late they made the content worse!

I liked it a lot--it's great to see it again.

Very funny ep! I loved the part where Bender was talking to the Kwanzabot and the Kwanzabot showed him the 'what the hell is Kwanza' books. That is so true.

I didnt think it was that violent, doesnt seem like it deserved to be held up a year.

I thought it was hilarious! I can sort of see why it was held up for a year, but kept thinking "what's the big deal?" when I was watching it. Very well done - a great way to kick off the holidays. :)

I can see why they aired it at a later time, but why they held it off for a year? That I don't understand.

I thought it was pretty funny, but why would they hold this off for a year? There really wasn't anything that bad in it.

This should have done last year what they did this year - air it at a later time in the day. That would have solved any problems they had with the episode.

The show shouldnt be on at 7:30 in the first place, but I didnt see anything bad in this one either.Nothing worse than any other episode, anyway.

Man, Futurama keeps rolling out the best songs! I was humming that one all day today...

I'll have to agree, I can understand why they aired it a bit later, but it honestly wasn't that bad. I've seen worse in Family Guy (and I'm not just talking about the obvious lack of quality... :p )

The songwas great! FUTURUAMA continues to show its cleverness as it continues to grow. I really hope this show surivves for a few more seasons. I'd hate to see it cut down. FUTURAMAhas been a beam of light on an otherwise crapy FOX schedule.

I wonder when we will ever see a Futurama soundtrack? I would buy one!

Probably when they get a few more songs under their belt...which won't happen if FOX doesn't air the ones they have!!!

--that Santabot was evil and ungrateful...and a guy who hits little girls with bicycles and threatens to kill the guy who sits in for him might be a bit much for kids (to say nothing of the elves' relationship. "Oh, so [the heat] explains the short shorts." "Ye-eee-ee-eah. That's why.")
When Bender took a swig of whiskey, was anyone else expecting it to come gushing from the bullet holes in his chassis a la Tex Avery? "I have only a few more years to live, and I don't want to spend them dead!" Though I found it odd that the professor would be using an old-fashioned shotgun.

I was expecting that, too. I thought the episode was pretty good, I enjoyed it. I can't really compare it to the rest of the season becuase I keep on MISSING them becuase of friggin' Football.

I don't think anything should air in that time slot on Sunday night during Football season. All our shows keep on getting pre-empted. I'd rather see the season premier of Futurama in January than to have to suffer the episodes getting pre-empted all the time.

James Harvey

That would be the best wya to go. I hate seieng the series pre-empted so many times and the ratings reflect that. FUTURAMA fan dissapointed that the show keeps getting overrun with football have abandoned the show. At least stick it in a different timeslot where it has a chance to be seen.

With Dana leaving the X Files after the end of this year, I hope Chris Carter FINALLY has enough sense to just call that show quits. If he does that, perhaps Futurama could be on after the Simpsons (where it BELONGS) and then Malcom in the Middle and perhaps a new sit com could move to the old slot previously held by X Files. That's my idea anyway. And for the slot previously held by Futurama? Well, perhaps Family Guy could be a mid season replacement kind of thing after foot ball is over.

How close is Futurama to syndication? I've missed so many episodes throughout the years and kinda gave up on it, but the xmas ep has piqued my interest again.

Calhoun07

I believe the standard for any show to go to syndication is 100 episodes. That will give TV stations 13 weeks worth of episodes, provided they air one per work week day. I don't think Futurama is close to 100 episodes yet. And we had 44 episodes at the end of season three.

That won't happen. Joss Whedon is developing a new sci-fi series called Firefly for the 9pm Sunday slot. FOX is expected to let X-FILES go after this season. Ratings are down, but the series has been getting critical raves, and are sinking to a low level. FOX will likely show out the season then call it quits. This looks to be the lasts eason for both X-FILES and FAMILY GUY.

Season 3? That's it? Sheesh, I wouldve guessed they were into season 5 or so. Boy was I off.

They are up to season 4, but only a couple episodes have aired so far, so we're a bit off til we will see 100. And season one only had 9 episodes, according to the episode guides.

I believe the first season didn't start until around March, too. It was a late mid-season replacement. But...I may be wrong there. The series is far off from syndication, but I hope it reaches. But then again - with the supposed Futuruama Season 1 DVD set -- who cares? I'll take the DVD instead...:)

Ooh, if there's a DVD set supposed to come out, screw syndication. Hey DG, do you have any idea if there's any DVD set talked about for King of the Hill?

FOX said they have plans but didn't get any more specific then that. Since the show has around 140 episodes, I bet well see a set soon. I'll ask around and see what I can dig up. I definatly want KOTH on DVD, too.
