How about the voices? Croc, Scarecrow, Batgirl and some other characters, who I can't remember at the moment, have new people doing them. I prefer the original cast.

But, if WB couldn't get some of the voice actors to come back, it's not their fault.

I could have sworn the same guy did the Scarecrow in TNBA. I like both Batgirls. Croc is a character I could do without either way :D Plus, why does everyone call it TNBA? I thought its title before they decided to do the Batman/Superman Adventures combo was "Gotham Knights"?

The title was changed from "Gotham Knights" to "The New Batman Adventures" when Batman and Superman were packaged together, hence the slash in The New Batman/Superman Adventures.

Killer Croc's new voice didn't work at all. Come to think of it, besides Batgirl, Baby Doll and Scarecrow, that was the only voice change I think. The main villians all kept their original voices. There's no real comparison here since only a handful of characters had their voices changed - and it was becuase the previous actors were unable to commit.

I think the Batgirl change was a good one. I liked the original but I really think the new one was way better.

Scarecrow was another great change, I think the TNBA Scarecrow was really creepy; both the new voice and the new animation.

Did Scarecrow go through three voice changes or just two?

I hated the hatchet job they did to Baby Doll, Killer Croc, and Talia. They sounded terrible. The new Batgirl was okay.

Actually, he didn't change at all. It was the same voice actor, he just put a creepier inflection in his voice for TNBA.

Actually - there was a voice change in Scarecrow. The new voice was done by Jeffery Combs, while the old Scarecrow was done by Henry Pollic II. That was a voice changed i liked. I really disliked the new Talia voice becuase it seemed to lack any emotion whatsoever. The new Batgirl voice was awesome, too...

No knock to Melissa Gilbert, but Tara Strong did Batgirl so much better. The other voice changes were okay, Talia wasn't that good at all tho....

The new voice of Batgirl was definatly the best change on the series. Tara Strong just did an awesome job as Batgirl. Her turn (albeit breif) in BB: ROTJ was great! I don't think I can envision anyone else as Batgirl.

Really? Huh, consider me corrected, and in need of actually looking up the facts I post (again).

I'll have to agree on Tara Strong though, she seemed to fit Batgirl much better.

Tara Strong just did a better job. She just put more into it, acting wise. She did just a great job on OVER THE EDGE during her now infamous death scene.

Over The Edge is a good one for all the voice actors involved. That was a pretty emotional episode. Bruce/Batman's lines were done so perfectly, same with Commissioner Gordon in the flashback. And Batgirl after coming out of the nightmare- awesome. That, voice acting-wise, will probably go down as one of the best TNBA episodes ever...

You're right, Over the Edge had some great voice acting in it... as did Mad Love. The sheer menace of the Joker wasn't topped till ROTJ, and Harley's emotional twists and serious moments weren't just good, they're haunting.

You know, we complain a lot that BB didn't get the series finale it deserved, but I have to say, Mad Love was a damn fine way to end TNBA.
