Original Title: The Power of Kindness - O Wish, Come True in the Deep Sea
Dub Title: A Girl With a Porpoise

Ichigo is still confused over Shirogane and the Blue Knight - but it's put out of her mind as the Mews take a trip to the beach! While there, they meet a young girl named Iruka who is being teased (by the boys Komura, Takeshi, and Yosuke) for not being able to swim. Retasu and Iruka become good friends, considering that despite her porpoise genes, Retasu herself can't swim. Retasu tries to help the both of them learn, but only ends up almost drowning and feeling discouraged again. Shirogane cheers her up, and Retasu is going to need all the confidence she can muster to not only fight sea-creature Chimera Animas, but also save Iruka and Komura in the churning ocean! Plus, what could this weird light be that Retasu keeps encountering?

Though it doesn't resurface until later, this episode marks the first encounter between Retasu and Ryou, if you know what I mean. >_>; *cough* Not only that, but the appearance of an important factor in Tokyo Mew Mew - the Mew Aqua which is elaborated on later.

I hate this "supernatural" song. Though it was cheesy, "Animal Instinct" was a much better listen.

Am I the only one who believes this is a joke that would also work in a Bobobo-bo episode? Just seemed to be of that quality.

I actually like 'Supernatural' over 'Animal Instinct.' I dislike both, though, but I felt the lyrics to 'animal instinct' were vaguely sexual in a comedically unintentional way. 'Supernatural' is just pop superhero worship.

Zoey's snort has been around since the first episode. I have a feeling 4kids didn't tell her to do it, it sounds like the actress' own addition, to make her sound a tad dorkier. I don't mind it; she doesn't overdo it.

For some reason, my favourite line was, "Hey, that kid who said I was ugly just fell in the water!"

Kikki/Purin's situation is pretty much explained next week. Her mom's passed away and her dad is out training in some mountains somewhere.

In the original it's that Minto doesn't have the urge to sing karaoke even though she's a bird.

This episode has some weird Sardon lines that were quite OOC for Pai, but eh. I'm starting to like Tarb a little more.

- The girls in the original are still in Japan, but by the way Wesley talks it sounds like the dub girls are in Hawaii. Whatever the Hawaiian word/phrase they used was a replacement for "Itadakimasu!"

- Retasu's animal is the Sunameri/Finless Porpoise. I'm not sure if 4Kids did their research or if the DNA animals in the dub are made up. Anyway, Minto's explanation about her animal was that she hasn't sung karaoke yet, while Corina says she rocks at karaoke. Purin's wasn't shown in the dub. While eating, she declares that she was eating meat before she became a lion. The mini Mew Ichigo appears and informs the audience that the Golden Lion Tamarin is part of the monkey family.

The girls look to Zakuro next, her wolf ears appear, and she asks if she should eat them.

- The Retasu-Shiorgane scene is changed a bit also. Shirogane tells Retasu she needs to have more faith in herself and that it's too early to quit, while Elliot tells Bridget her strength is in within or something like that.

- When the Chimera Animals appear, Taruto gloats that they're from outer space. Ichigo yells at him that you can find sea animals like them anywhere in the ocean. Zoey tells Tarb the Predasites are ordinary.

- The Chimera Animals said such things like "Charge!" and "Electric Shock!" while the Predasites are silent.

- When Minto and Purin are shocked by the Chimera Animal, their skeletons flash in and out. This is removed from the dub.

- When Retasu is in the water and the whirlpool thing appears, she asks what this terrible feeling is and how Iruka gets such strength. Flashbacks of Shirogane encouraging her and Iruka saying that she won't be afraid of the water someday thanks to Retasu are shown. In the dub, Bridget doesn't really say much and only Elliot is shown.

- Corina comments on how the light eminating from Bridget is having a strange effect on the Predasites. Minto is more scientific, saying that because the animals live deep in the ocean they're not used to light.

And that's pretty much it. Next week, Purin's home situation is revealed. In the episode 7 of the dub it was said that Kiki lives in a shelter, so it'll be interesting to see if they acknowledge this in this upcoming episode (considering Purin has a house) especially after talking about Kiki's four younger brothers and sister in the preview.

Boy,was I sleepy this mourning..... Anyway, this episode pulled some of the wall jokes that were funny. I still can get the parts where Corina Ask how did Bridget's glasses were still on and when the Lifeguard told the people to run for lives. LOL!:p What's up with Elliot and Wesly wearing speedo's. It seems not right, it would've been better if they wearing swimming trunks instead of "speedo's."

It's prefectly normal for 7 year-olds to have fears of the water but Cassandra doubting yourself over something like that is out of character. Elliot givin' Bridget advice about being brave was quite sweet. The fighting scenes were quite stupid but funny. Well, its about time they gave Bidget a high power techique even if its for under water only.:sweat:

The previews were funny. Zoey was just evil for calling Kiki's 4 bothers demons.:evil: The preview showing Kiki taking care of her brothers and sister remained me of Brock (Pokemon) doing the exact same thing, strange huh!:shrug:

- Gasp... Zoey Hanson, 4KidsTV's resident Jeff Corwin? She knows her sealife, apparently.
- Did it occur to anyone, Bridget and Cassandra themselves included, that someone who knew how to swim should've gone with them? And speaking of... that's the lamest swandive into water I've seen anyone do! If it was supposed to be a dive, that is...
- Fave. quotes: A lot of people noted a couple of lines I liked... Corina asking how Bridget's glasses stayed on underwater, the lifeguard not staying calm. One that hasn't been mentioned... Cassandra's line immediately after seeing the Mews transform:
"That's the coolest thing I ever saw!"
If that's not subliminal messaging for praising 4Kids' editing of the dub transformation sequences, I don't know what is.
- Oh, and I prefer "Supernatural" to "Animal Instincts." Actually, I've already forgotten the lyrics to the latter. 4Kids, don't dare play that song again so I don't have to remember them!

another one of those "anime" things, its like speedos are some kind of requirement, only really they are just disturbing. especially on boney looking characters like Wes and Elli. AHHHH *pokes her eyes*

Once again MewMew wins for original MotW design.
The funny lines and scientific Zoey were good(though it would have been nice to see the rest of her DNA explinations, other than the Imori-cat I've never heard of the other animals.) Bridget gets a super-form/power-up this time around, that should make things interesting.
