Cookie Monster becomes... VEGGIE MONSTER!

I heard today that Cookie Monster's name is being changed to Veggie Monster, which obviously switches his eating habits. This was because kids were getting fat "because they ate cookies like Cookie Monster told them to". Yeah, right.

Anyway, is this true? If so, it is horrible.

I doubt it very much. This just screams "gossipy-rumor." Many people weren't happy with the new healther Cookie Monster, and it'd be an immensely stupid move to rename him.

Okay, eating cookies in moderation and with healthier foods was a shock at first, but it was acceptable given the standards today. But changing his name to Veggie Monster, if it is true, practically rips the essence of Cookie's character away!

So if they truly feel that CM is a bad influence, just get rid of him and create a new character to satisfy those 'healthier diets' needs. At least that would be more dignifying than having him stop eating cookies completely.

It's a very sad story. He met "The Monster Cookie." He told Cookie Monster a very sad story on how he became that way. He was once a blue furry monster also. But since he ate alot of cookies all the time, He was transformed into a cookie.:crying: And regrets on not eating any healthy treats. When Cookie Monster wakes up from his dream, He sobbed "What a dream! Oh, Very sad! And when grabs a cookie, He was going to eat it but puts it down and says to the viewers. "Oh! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
