SPD, Emergency!
DinoThunder, Power Up!
Previously, on Power Rangers DinoThunder!
When we last left the DinoThunder Rangers, they were defeating Mesogog. With the DinoGems exhausted in a final attack, the Ranger Teens graduated from High School. Trent was going to art school, Tommy was staying on as a teacher, and the core three moved on. Kira and Ethan, having accessed the Universal Morphin' Grid, saw visions of the next team, the Power Rangers SPD.
Previously, on Power Rangers SPD!
A-Squad is missing. B-Squad, with the aid of the Shadow Ranger, has been defending the planet. Since a force from the future came back in time to save the Rangers and Dr. Kat Manx hasn't completely used up her disposable morpher, SPD now has eight Power Rangers to defend New Tech City.
Today, on Power Rangers SPD!
DinoThunder + SPD! Round One!
SPD Datafile
Canada aired the wrong episode, "Wormhole", awhile back. It's a DVD exclusive episode, the second team-up of SPD and DinoThunder. As I still have yet to see the episode, DO NOT TALK ABOUT IT HOW TO ACQUIRE THE EPISODE.
NOTE- Power Rangers SPD's numbering scheme has all been messed up. Until the series is over and we can figure out the order, all SPD episodes will be "56X", outside of the finale.

Eh, it was an all right episode. It seemed to be over rather quickly to me though. It was nice seeing the DT Rangers, of course. However, I would've preferred it if Conner didn't hit on Sydney. Blagh. >_<
Did Sam's voice seem a bit off to anyone else? Oh, and when did Morgana start fighting with a helmet on?

Okay, okay; I was wrong. History IS the episode leading into Impact. The Zord battle really felt tacked on though... Now that we know Impact's background has been established, I think it's safe to say that only Wormhole doesn't fit production order.
Another team-up episode, another "everyone power-up right away to impress the other team" episode. At least the story was good and it didn't ruin the DT storyline like I thought it might.
One big thing I did think would happen was the official removal of "The Hidden Episode" from the timeline. Either it never happened, or Kira & Ethan have really bad memories when it comes to future PR teams they watch on video through the Universal Morphin' Grid.
NOTE- Power Rangers SPD's numbering scheme has all been messed up. Until the series is over and we can figure out the order, all SPD episodes will be "56X", outside of the finale.Which leads nicely into my timeline theory segment...
Current timeline theory:
1501-1531 (535-565)
1533 (566) - Impact
-------------------------
1534 - Badge
1535 - Insomnia
1532 - Wormhole
1536 - Resurrection
1537 - Endings, Part 1
1538 - Endings, Part 2
Current schedule:
1534 - Badge (ABC Fam: Oct. 22, 10AM) (TD: Oct. 17, 7PM)
1535 - Insomnia (ABC Fam: Oct. 29, 10AM) (TD: Fri Oct. 28,7 PM)
1536 - Resurrection (ABC Fam: ???) (TD: Fri Nov 4, 7PM)
1537 - Endings, Part 1 (ABC Fam: ???) (TD: Nov. 7, 7PM)
1538 - Endings, Part 2 (ABC Fam: ???) (TD: Nov. 14, 8:30 PM)
1532 - Wormhole (DVD: SPD V4 & V5: Dec 6)
By the way, this episode airs on ABC Family on Sunday October 16th at 10:30 AM
Oh, and when did Morgana start fighting with a helmet on?I think she always does when fighting the morphed rangers... That way the footage matches the DekaRangers clips.
Edit: Forgot to mention the excellent reference to Onxy: the only planet to get great stuff the rangers don't want you to have...

Good stuff...
Proof that Space Patrol Delta acknowledges and uses the Universal Morphin' Grid, along with some of Ethan's tech.
Whipping out the Z-Rex Blaster to shoot at Gruumm.
Having a unique set-up for a team-up, what with SPD having to bail to help out Omega, Shadow riding a truck mid-fight, the lead enemy getting involved, the odd pairing of DinoThunders + Shadow, leading into another non-crossover episode...
Gotta love planet Onyx.
Bad stuff...
Kira and Ethan totally forgot about the Universal Morphin' Grid.
"You can't be the Power Rangers... we're the Power Rangers!". Conner, Kira, Ethan. You've teamed up with the Ninja Storm Rangers. You saw video footage of every previous team. You worked with a Ranger who had been on multiple teams. ETHAN AND KIRA HAVE ALREADY SEEN THESE PEOPLE.
No action from Trent, Tommy, Kat, no non-Zord action from Sam, no appearances whatsoever of Boom, Devin, Cassaday.
Sam's lines. Everything was an exclamation (Out of character a little bit. Have you ever seen Sam EXCITED to rush into battle?)
Sentai footage. While it's fun to have a Zord battle in a crossover, why couldn't it have been the Thundersaurus and Delta Squad Megazords teaming up? We know Auckland's working on Zord footage...

Of course one must also ask where at in the DinoThunder timeline does this take place, because I've heard an unconfirmed rumor that all but Kat and Boom have their memories of each other wiped in the second team-up, which would explain why Kira and Ethan do not remember the team-up.
It's also possible this episode could have taken place before Dr. O became a ranger, which would explain why Kira and Ethan do not remember the lost episode, why they haven't seen Dr. O's video, and why they don't know about team-ups.

Did you watch the episode? The DinoThunders were ripped out of their 2005 High School Reunion. Therefore, one year after PRDT ended.

The DinoThunders were ripped out of their 2005 High School Reunion. Therefore, one year after PRDT ended. That was so goofy: a one-year high school reunion. Wha? It would've been less odd if the trio just casually bumped into each other somehow instead. =P

Hold up, is Wormhole supposed to be part 2? If so, are they really just going to make us watch the DVD to see what happens (of course, if it already aired, how can it be a DVD exclusive?)? If so, then what is the point of watching this one?
Wow, so many is and ifs. :D

Perhaps I should just wait until I am able to watch the episode on Sunday, but, how did the DT Rangers morph? They all lost their powers at the end of the series. Had their Dinogems recharged enough from the Morphin' Grid in a year's time?

Had their Dinogems recharged enough from the Morphin' Grid in a year's time? kat re-energized them which i think makes more questions than answers
I enjoyed it, i haven't seen wormhole but if that is supposed to be a "part 2" why did they go through the trouble of mind erasing and all that :/
oh well.
I enjoyed it, it was fun, is grumm in dekaranger or just PR?

I agree that that did raise more questions than it answered. Does SPD have access to all of the old stuff from previous teams as well? Or was this just a quick and cheap way to get the DT Rangers into morphed battle?
And Grumm is PR only. Dekaranger didn't really have an equivalent.
i wonder how they will do the Mystic Force team up, since they arleady used the traveling to the future and traveling to the past for the same team up :/

Broodwing found the DinoGems on Onyx (I'm guessing the museum they would be in was robbed by 2025), and somehow pulled the Rangers (potentially due to their ties with the gems) into 2025. The same happened when Kat sent them back in time; the gems 'ported, followed by the Rangers.
So, by 2025, the gems have been recharged. Not a surprise, as multiple instances in the Rangerverse have shown that the Morphin' Grid and many powers related can heal themselves (Jason's Dino Coin, for example).
Was it stated that Kat recharged the morphers? My understanding was that she just pulled the morphers out of the archives (while the gems had power, the teens never morphed until Tommy handed them their morphers). Although, at this point, I was thinking that Kat was gonna jury-rig the DinoGems into disposable SPD Morphers and deputize the Dinos or something... much like the SPDinoThunder in my sig...
"Wormhole" is not "Part 2"; if anything, that would be "Impact". The second team-up is just that, a second team-up. Instead of doing the standard two-part team-up, the SPD guys decided to do two one-part team-ups.

This episode was way much better than Wormhole. It sucked that Tommy and Trent weren't there. This is the second time that Gruumm has ever fought the rangers and both times he got his butt handed to him. I hope he doesn't get so easily defeated in the finale.
"Get off my truck!" best Cruger line ever.
At least we finally know when the first Dragoul battle took place. I don't know where people got the idea that Badge would be it, since Deka 42 obviously had nothing to do with badges.

I've been looking through the thread for this episode over at Rangerboard and there seems to be a lot of questions about Wormhole, complete with spoiler filled answers. Everyone here knows I'm a fan of Burg's web site (http://www.angelfire.com/scifi/prstuff/index.html), but even his front page has a spoiler about Wormhole. Since I have seen quite a few of these spoilers, I'll post a Q&A below to (hopefully) contain the spoilers so those looking to avoid them don't find them in this thread without spoiler boxes...
1. When does Wormhole occur in SPD's timeline?
Not yet! Sometime a few episodes after where it should be based on production order. Here's the evidence:
Mora is in it and Jack has some kind of Omega upgrade, so we'll have to wait until Mora returns and Jack gets the upgrade before we know its place for sure.
2. When does Wormhole occur in DT's timeline?
Unlike History, which occured one year after the rangers lost their powers in the final battle, Wormhole takes place right in the middle of DT. However, I've heard some complaints that there is a continuity error (something about Zeltrax and the battlizer, if I recall). We'll know more about this once we all get to see the episode.
3. What about problems from the memory wipe?
Since the memory wipe didn't affect the SPD rangers, they will remember the DT team. From the DT team's perspective, this episode occurs before History and therefore will have never met the SPD team. As long as Kira, Conner, and Ethan's memory is wiped again, this won't be a problem with History.
4. Will anyone be in Wormhole that wasn't in History (Trent, Tommy, etc.)?
Yes, Trent and Tommy will both be there. I'm not sure about Trent, but I know that Tommy only appears morphed and is NOT played by JDF (Trent's actor is filling the role).
5. Is it the second/third part of History/Impact?
No. There is nothing to indicate that History even occured (from what I've heard) other than the SPD team's brief "good to see you again" remark. You won't be missing a major part if you don't buy the DVD, just a filler.

Jack has no sort of Omega upgrade, Trent shows up unmorphed, and the major continuity error is that Conner has the battlizer, but Zeltrax still has access to Tyrannodrones.

Since I've only been reading spoilers by accident, I've been purposely not reading them in great detail, thus my confusion...

I like 2 part teamups more myself. More action and adds some more character development, but maybe that's just me.
I'm ok with them doing it as two different team ups for a change though the two parter does seem to work better.
Its also that they chose the worse series to do different team ups, since SPD is in the future and DT is not, if they were both around the same timeline it'd be easier.

Man, I hate to say this, but this episode was just total trash. The acting seemed to be far worse than ANY Dinothunder or SPD episode I have ever seen. The dt cast just did not seem to be right for this, and Lahna (is that how her name is spelled?) seemed way out of character than how she was last year. She not only seemed prepish instead of gothish, but her persona felt different. Connor and Ethan weren't much better either though. Oh, and they just ran off with their dino gems as if they were already expecting it to happen.
The story itself felt very rushed as it seemed like I was watching it on fast forward. The battle itself was not only boring, but turned out to be pointless, as was the ending by telling the rangers about how they end up.
Overall, I'm going to give this 1 star just for the fact that it did have the return of some of my favorite cast of rangers, however, they could've done A LOT better.

I was a bit disappointed with this team-up. First off, who's ever heard of a 1 year high school reunion? A 10 year one maybe, but a 1 year reunion? I never have. Second, how did Kat have the schmatics for the DinoThunder morphers in their archives? I'd assume Tommy and Hailey would keep that information more hidden. Third, why weren't the black and white dino gems with the others? I know they didn't want to pay Jason David Frank the money to come back, but why didn't they at least have "Trent" in it. Fourth, the dialogue could have been better. Often times I don't care about the scripts, but this one seemed to be written without any care for the Dino Rangers. I was glad to see the Megazord battle though, and I was glad once to see that the Ranger teams didn't use their battlizer forms for both characters (Connor never went Triassic, and Jack's battlizer fell apart).

I think Kat had the morphers themselves, not just the planes. What they need to be able to work are the Dino Gems and the rangers already had those. I liked this a LOT better than Wormhole though, so I'm just going to pretend like that episode never happened, even though it would have been nice to see Trent here too.

The Dino Rangers said "And look what we have." They showed their morphers and then said "Kat pulled the schematics out of the data base and was able to replicate our morphers." That's pretty clear evidence that she didn't have the morphers.
