My vote goes to that beautiful dream sequence in James and the Giant Peach, where James is a catapiller being hunted down by his terrible aunts and the rhino.

The uber-freaky dream sequence placed into Spider-Man's origin story in the "Make a Wish" episode.

Der Feuhrers face! :) Can't beat Donald duck as a nazi :D
I laugh pretty hard when I think of the dreams Agent Jay had in the first season of MIB-- when he had the Vermax stuck to him, keeping him in a coma.
Very cartoonish 'Wile E Coyote'-esque dreams. Jay dreams that Kay kept goofing up as an agent, but the scene where Kay is the back of the LTD with a 'kiss the cook' apron on and he holds up a fry pan and says "I like Eggs." cracks me up.

Favorite cartoon dream sequences:
The one from The Simpsons episode where Homer and Bart go rafting where Homer dances with lollipops and ice-cream cones to The Archies' "Sugar Sugar" and then they melt when the batteries to the Walkman run out.
The "Don't Worry, Bee Happy" dream sequence from that Futurama episode where Fry gets killed and Leela freaks out because she thinks she did it (especially the part after where Bender says that he's not allowed to sing because of a court order).
The one from that Halloween Simpsons episode with Groundskeeper Willie as Freddie Krueger with the bagpipe spider.
...and in classic cartoons:
The one on The Hypochondricat where Claude Cat hallucinates during the "surgery"

I guess it was kind of a dream sequence, but in Akira when Tetsuo was dreaming of his and Kaneda's childhood. That was really emotional

I like some in the Simpsons, like when Homer, eating a chocolate town, lusting for his food. I like it, especially when he bit a chocolate dog.

In "Homer the Heretic" where Homer dreams that he's still in the womb, and begins to swim around. Then the water drains, and his happiness turns to horror as somebody tries to drag him out. That and let's also add Homer's reasoning with God on why he decided to skip church and his little conversation with God on the couch. Then culminating eventually with him in a dream taking a walk with God around heaven as God consoles Homer and tells him not to feel bad: "9 out of 10 religions fail on their first year."

I'm definitely in the "not usually fond of dream sequences" camp, but Ed's dream in Thick as an Ed (Ed, Edd n Eddy) was so very right ... the Edlike scribbled artwork of the dream, the simple "one-two-buckle-my shoe" rhyming throughout, the big fat hen he gets to hug - it's brief, it's funny, and it's definitely my favourite animated dream sequence =)

Brain & Pinky's nightmare sequences, in the opening episode of 'Brainwashed'.
Brain was wandering through an 'Alice and Wonderland' landscape with Pinky in place of the Cheshire Cat. And then he was triumphantly grasping the world between his hands, only to have it melt and flow down the drain.
Pinky got off easier; he was riding a fish and eating crackers and seemed perfectly happy about it.
In the original TMNT, there was that 'It's A Wonderful Life' take-off, where the Turtles shared a dream about what the world would be like if they'd never been hatched (in brief: everybody was miserable, including Shredder.)
And in the PPG ep 'Opps I Did It Again', the Professor dreamed of how his life would be if he'd created three ordinary little girls (in brief: it was *boring*.)

Oh yes, and who could forget Flander's dream as him being a sniper on the rooftop killing anybody he believes to be Homer, culminating in a mailman firing back and the realization that he doesn't like Homer Simpson.
Then of course Homer also realized that he doesn't like Ted Koppel, but then again he finds him witty and informative.
Good night.

I heard that the Mexican version of that replaced the Ted Koppel reference with Michael Jackson.

^ They probably made that change because Michael Jackson is better known in Mexico than Ted Koppel is.

I can't belive no one has mentioned the hallocigenic dream Homer had in "The Mysterious Voyage of Homer". It's not a dream per se but it's pretty much a dream nonetheless and it that sequence still remains for me, one of the best animated sequences ever created for TV.
Off-Topic: I was going to put down some pics of the sequence on the post but I know that I might get in trouble for it, so I won't.

When I think about it, The Ned Flander's hates Homer dream was probably the best dream squence, and one of my favorites.
Digimon:
Veemon day dreaming that he's dancing with Gatomon was cute and kind of werid...
Juniper Lee:
Ophelia's Nightmare in the one episode in which Juniper fights the Sandman.
