I was wondering if any of you know if Calendar Girl ever appeared in DC comics (Batman in particular.) I know some characters like Baby Doll (and Harley come to think of it) were just made up for the show and wasnt sure if Paige Monroe was one of them and I just got "Batman: The Ultimate Guide to the Dark Knight" for my birthday and discovered that she's no where to be found in it. If anyone knows if and/or when and/or where she made an appearance in comics I'd sleep easier at night (well not really but you get the idea.) Thanks.

I know that there was a Calendar Man, who based his crimes on the holidays of different months of the year much like Calendar Girl. Maybe that was the basis for the idea? Plus, there is a disorder called Body Dysmorphic Disorder that causes the afflicted to exaggerate the most minor physical flaws, which might have had an influence on the TNBA crew.

Didn't Dr. Doom have something like that?

As far as I know Calendar Girl was an original creation for the series (loosely based on the Calendar Man, who they planned to use but never got around to).

Not really (assuming we're talking about the marvel Doc Doom since i know of no other) Dr. Dooms entire face is burned and scarred all over due to a lab explosion and his haste in putting on his doom mask which was still hot after being molded. So while he wears a mask, he has little to exaggerate about whats under it.

The Dr. Doom thing has changed a lot over the years. At one point, the writers were trying to make it sound like he just had a small scar that he was overly-sensitive about. But the idea that seems to be believed by most right now is that he got a small scar from his lab explosion, and then really scarred up his face when he put on his mask before it was cooled. Anyways, it's pretty obvious that his face is very scarred right now, since a few people have seen it, and I believe that they have even gone as far as showing it in shadow and making it clear that it's all scarred up. To my knowledge, exactly how bad the original accident was has never been explained. But, Doom is certainly the sort of egotist who would blow a small scar out of proportion.
Ugh...sorry for the way OT post.
