Has anyone seen this early 1943 Donald Duck Cartoon about paying income taxes??? It is soooo dated!
I have it on the same tape (vol. 5 i believe) that has the disney classics "The Mad Doctor", "Hooked Bear", and "Susie, the Little Blue Coupe".

If you look at Spirit of '43, the two ducks who try to get Donald's money resemble Uncle Scrooge and Gladstone Gander, although Carl Barks didn't work on the short. (He had left Disney's studio in 1942.) The latter half of the film is the ending to "The New Spirit" re-used. Both of these shorts were produced for the U.S. Treasury Department.

Yeah, I'm surprised this film wasn't on Nelson's "Censored Disney" list. ;)
