View Full Version : Coustume Changes

I got this idea last night while I was thinking what my coustume would be if I ever became Batman. No life you say? Yes. Well, what would you change on a hero's coustume that is in the JL?
Batman:
I'd first get rid of that stupid "underwear". It looks to stupid if used in real life. Now next, I'd make the mask cover all of his face. I never liked that his mouth shows. As for the cape: I have no clue.. I'm going between cape and no cape.
Have fun.

Sure, everyone thinks that the shorts over the tights looks ridiculous, but just ask yourself this question: Have you ever seen a guy wearing those spandex biker shorts in public? Or a male ballet dancer in tights? Don't you think those guys could use some kind of.....hmmm, I dunno.....cover..... over certain areas? I mean, have you ever seen the movie "Top Secret"?
I'll bet Batman would rather wear his underwear on the outside than worry about people staring at Little Bruce.

I think the masks should cover their faces. In the real world, you can recognize somebody even if they are in a mask that reveals part of their mouth and nose. The nose especially is a very recognizeable feature on the human body, let alone the shape of the mouth. But then again, if Superman can fool people with is "disguise" then Batman's mask will never be an issue. Unless this were the real world we were talking about here.

ALL BLACK. It makes little sense for a BAT-Man...to wear grey and black. The mask stays the same. Batman would probably frighten people he isn't supposed to...kids...cops...the full facemask just makes him too dark. And the mask has power. It's essential Batman retain SOME humanity...

Are these all original designs or are they based on designs from the comic books, but in animated style?

These are original designs. I just love to tinker with ideas for costumes. I must've been a fashion designer in a previous life.

Thanks Carter. The site is actually just a test run for now, so see how the server would handle a file as big as that. I'm gonna remake teh design soon to make it look like an operating system. I'm going back and forth between if I should keep each site seperate or make one big site about heroes. (Ie. Batman, JL, etc.)
Any suggestion to a good name for a site containing info about various heroes is welcomed.
