Why did CN air Purr-chance to Dream? Probably because they've already used Barbeque Brawl and Life With Tom on other theme shows and they refuse to show Tops With Pops. Purr-chance To Dream, featuring the return of the miniature bulldog, was as close to Tyke as we could get.

If I remember correctly, I think Tyke appeared in one cartoon produced by Filmation for "The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show" called 'The Puppy Sitters". I haven't seen these cartoons in a while, not since Fox 25 (in Boston, MA) stopped running Tom and Jerry. So far none of Filmation's T&J shorts have shown up on Cartoon Network (that I know of).
