P.S Could you imagine her being Starfire and anyone else being Raven?

Is she the same person that does the cartoon fridays on cartoon network? What ever happened to the black girl that was on cartoon fridays? Did she quit? Was she fired? Also is there any hope for megas XLR? I hear there is a complete version of the intro song. I still can not find it.

Nope, she isn't.
There has been some specualtion though that she's the announcer voice that you hear during the credits, and commercials.

I'd say it's probably a good thing she didn't end up playing Starfire; she seems to have one normal teenage girl voice that she uses a lot.

No she isn't. That's Nikki, whose been the "CN Announcer Girl" since Summer 2004. She's some teenage kid who lives near the Williams Street offices but she is NOT Tara Strong just to clear the record.

Live and learn I guess. I thought her natural speaking voice was pretty close to the announcer voice.

Ah yes, Tara Strong. Possibly my favorite voice actress of all time. I didn't realize until recently that she was Timmy Turner, but the roles that will always stay with me are Rikku, Bubbles, Presea, and Raven.

Tara Strong is a genius. No other female VA can touch her AFAIC. Good interview by the way.

Tara's one of my favorite voice actresses, also! Bubbles, Timmy Turner and Raven are my fave roles of hers. :D

That's Grey DeLisle voicing Mandy on Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and she voices Yumi, not Ami, on Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. Ami is voiced by Janice Kawaye.

What is it with these drop dead gorgeous women voicing boys on cartoons? First Tara Strong, then E.G. Daily (if you ever see her in the movie "Dutch", or a Rugrats Behind the Scenes special, or on this old episode of SNL where she was musical guest on an episode hosted by Pulitzer Prize winner Jimmy Breslin and a boxer named Marvin Hagler, you'll see what I mean)...I don't get it!

They've just got the same pitch and feel is all.

I made the same mistake actually, for the longest time I thought they were both played by same actress. But once you find out that they're diffrent people you're not likely to make the same mistake again. You begin to hear some subtle diffrences between the two.

Funny you mention that. The original idea for the "Switched" episode involved Tara mimicking Starfire's voice and Hynden Walch mimicking Raven's voice (the role she initially auditioned for). However, each actress was able to pull off the other's character convincingly. Perhaps too convincingly, as the idea was ultimately scrapped.

I heard the Mike Chimeri interview with Tara Strong. She is the best VA in the current crop of VA talent in the animation business as we know it, not to mention quite the looker (too bad she's married  ).
I also saw her on a Nicktoons BTS clip where she did the Timmy Turner voice, and it just sounded so darn cute! I know it sounds odd for the voice of a 10 year old to come out of a grown woman, but that's just how I feel. :anime:

Yeah, I have to agree that she's got some of talent, but I pretty much lost my respect for her after hearing her potty mouth. Same goes for a lot of these voice actors. Guess it's my naive and anti-cussing nature's fault...

So that's why. Pity. That the voices were switched was that episode's one failing...but what a failing!
And to the person who griped about Mrs. Strong's potty mouth, I'd stay away from the series "Barbershop" if I were you. Lauren Tom plays a character who's...not very nice, if you follow me.

Well I think that's one of the things many voice over people enjoy about their jobs. The fact that they can walk out in public and most people wouldn't recognize them, while at the same time having millions of people enjoy their work all around the world. Plus its alot harder to get typecast in voice over, if your talented, than in live action.
As for the cursing, that's just kind of weird in some ways I guess. These people are all human beings mind you but it's a little bit difficult for me to imagine that sweet Bubbles voice letting an F bomb fly, or using any number of curse words. But that's me. It's interesting how she warned her mother-in-law before going in to record drawn together though.

If you don't want to her Tara strong swear then don't play Killer 7. Its a M rated game and the character she voices swears a lot.
