This has been up for a few months now, but I'd thought I'd tip the curious off anyway. If you've never read it but would like to see it, the entire comic is posted in the link below. It's actually quite good. John Buscema and Tom Palmer did the Punisher art and Stan Goldberg drew the Archie stuff. And the story is quite readable.

I think I might seek it out if I can find a cheap back issue of it.

Was there a Wolverine meets Jughead shortly after? :D

Nope. Hard to see how it would be better than this though. I have to think somehow the stars managed to align just once to create an amusing story between two totally different universes.

This is what I wanted to read a decade ago but couldn't. Thanks!

I enjoyed all the "extra" crossovers...like a Spidey and a Sonic balloon appearing in the same area, and Millie the Model in the Archie universe.

Look at the other stuff that guy's uploaded. It's pretty amusing too....

Thanks for the link. That was pretty entertaining. I think the Archie parody in What th?! was funnier though.

Howdy,

I hate to be a wet blanket, but the site that is hosting this comic (and others) is doing so in violation of copyright. The comic and the characters are not in the public domain, and the fellow hosting the scans does not seem to be anybody involved, nor does he state that he has permission to offer them up the way he is. Toon Zone can't be seen as condoning comics piracy.

Sorry, guys!

OK, then does anyone know legitimate sites that post complete comics like this one?

After all, if someone's posting out of print comics then it's no different from fan-subbing unreleased anime.

I actually have this book. My favorite part is at the end when they set up "Jughead gets his innards ripped out by Wolverine."

Sorry about that, folks. Should have known better--I figured that because it's been out of print long enough that it *might* be doable here. Apologies.

Well if they have Wolverine fighting Apocalypse with Jughead obtaining the power to make objects apear out of nowhere (ie hamburgers) or something to that extreme, it could be done. :D

Howdy,

Be that as it may (and regardless of my feelings on the matter), both are still illegal. The situation is the same for out-of-date/unsupported video games and emulators.

I've never seen a comic book site dedicated to posting public-domain comics, but I suspect that it's a harder problem than it looks like. Given current copyright law and its extensions, even the earliest comics may be eligible for copyright protection. Add in the fact that a lot of them may be lost irrevocably or have no credit lines to attribute copyright, and the fact that the business has had twists and turns to make your head spin (who owns Miracleman exactly?) and you get yourself a big ol' headache for not much reward, since everybody wants to read the old Superman and X-Men stories anyway.
