I saw charmed a couple weeks ago... it was about these Chinese wizards... cool, right? sure, but they were fighting with distinctly JAPANESE weapons! Any fool that played Samurai Shodown knows that a katana blade is Japanese. Heck, i bet kids that watched TMNT knew it was Japanese...

This started to irritate me... like how the character of Hoshi Sato, who is Japanese, on "Enterprise" is played by a Korean. I bet there are more inaccuracies like this, but I guess because of anti-discrimination laws they can't be stopped for the sake of correctness...

The people that write these shows need to do some friggin research! Or at least play more videogames...

I invite you to this site (http://www.alllooksame.com/). And no crying that I'm racist, see my picture :p

I saw that Charmed episode. It was lame. Besides, there are TONS of inconsistencies with that show.....why stop at one? They're presenting the show to a mainstream audience, so they have to jazz up wicca a bit. And I'm sure there were several things wrong with their presentation of the Zen storyline.....kinda rusty on my Zen though :P Or was it Tao? It was some Oriental-made-popular religion.

Japaneese in descent, or culturewise...

On Star Trek especially, we tend to think that the characters are American...unless told specifically, (ala the FRENCH Captian Picard...you know, the guy with the ENGLISH accent...)
Hikaru Sulu on TOS was from San Fransisco...

So it would be possible for them to have a Korean person, who lived in Japan, be on the ship...

Yeah, I'm covering for a show I like..byte me!
