Last month, Toon Zone News reported here (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12319&highlight=Ninja+turtles) that Warner Bros. Animation and Mirage Studios were nearing a deal to make a new Ninja Turtles animated series, presumably for Kids' WB! or Cartoon Network. Now, according to the official Ninja Turtles website (http://ninjaturtles.com), our favorite heroes in a half shell will be gracing the screens of Kids' WB! in the near future, likely in the 2002 - 2003 season. This post was slapped up on the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles site:

The Holiday Season is upon us! I've been busy with alotta behind-the-scenes stuff - putting the new comic book together for the printer and doing various other monkey work for Mirage concerning the proposed new cel animated show (as most of you know, the proposed computer animated show was nipped in the bud and won't be happening). Things have been gearing up around here for the past year - which is awesome - with any luck the new TMNT projects will come to fruition in the next few years and the Green Team will be on the screen once again - both big and small! We're working with Warner Brothers Animation for the proposed animated TV show, and if all goes well with that, the computer animated movie will go into production shortly thereafter. We're also in negotiations for a potential live action mini-series for TV featuring the Turtles - if this works out, it will be VERY awesome!

The style will supposedly be a mix of Classic Eastman & Laird mixed with Batman Beyond. Stay tuned for more updates here at TZN!
