Aero Fighters!

In my laundramat WAS this awesome awesome arcade game called Aero Fighters. It's now gone and I want to cry. I hit gamefaqs just now to see if it was ever out on NES or something and saw that it was on SNES. It was on N64 too but was obviously not the same game. It was on some other systems also but I've either never heard of them or never seen one other than pics on the web.

When I was 11 or 12 I lived near a pizzeria that had an Aerofighters machine. I probably dumped more quarters into that than any other arcade game (save maybe that X-Men game Konami did). It's a really great, fun top-down shooter. The SNES version is actually pretty good, so if you can find a copy, spring for it.

There were a couple of sequels for the Neo-Geo which were pretty okay, also. Haven't seen either one in a while, though.

I've got both Aero Fighters II and Aero Fighters III through...various means so to speak.

But yes, both are incredibly fun. Cindy & Ellen clearly owned the second game.

I've played the third game at my university recreation centre. Pretty fun too! One of the pilots was even a dolphin! :eek:
