I'm trying to watch Cartoon Network right now and all I get is static. It was working fine 4 hours ago. Any one else experiencing problems? Or is it just my area's cable company. I would be angry if Comcast decided to get rid of it. They just got rid of Sci Fi channel from their non digital customers lineup last month.
I have Comcast cable and I live in Illinois.

I woke up this morning and it's still not working. It's just been complete static. I can't hear anything either. I only hear the channel below it. It must be Static Shock's revenge for me not watching his show enough.

Wait, Comcast ditched the Sci-Fi channel? I hate them and am so glad that they don't provide the cable for me anymore.

Cartoon Network came back for me yesterday at about 12:00 P.M. So it was out for about 14 hours. I'm happy it didn't get dumped too. I think it was just a problem with my area. Still no Sci Fi though. It's been gone for more than a month and I think it's gone for good unless I get digital cable or switch to WOW.

Comcast in my area about a year ago put Sci-Fi exclusively on Digital Cable, and that didn't last long before they brought it back down to basic cable, as I'm sure they realized, as it's basic in most all areas, they were really doing nothing more than angering customers. So, I figured they learned their lesson, until a couple months later they did the same with Disney Channel (only, they put that on the HIGHEST tier digital - as in, the $80 a month tier). Needless to say, they got complaints and dropped customers like you wouldn't believe, so they eventually (as in, just two weeks ago) finally put Disney Channel back on basic.
My point is basically, they're just being greedy, seeing just how willing people in your area are to upgrade to digital. Eventually they'll learn that it doesn't work that way, and downgrade the channel, I'm sure. Comcast still sucks, though, and if it weren't for the ease of having cable in multiple rooms vs. satellite, I would've switched LONG ago.

It sounded like it was a cable provider issue, and not something effecting everyone.
