From InsidePulse.com:
"...to promote last night's episode of ByteThis!, WWE.com has put a picture of Sting on the main page. Last night's guest Eric Bischoff said that a WCW reunion show wouldn't work without Sting and the other big names that were known for being WCW guys."
Intrigued by this idea, I ask the question: Who would you want to appear? No, wait... some of you are incapable of choice and would just throw out every wrestler in WCW that you ever liked. Long lists are boring lists. Let's try again...
So just for fun, what 7 or so matches would you book for a WCW reunion show (living and non-crippled wrestlers only)?

Wow... that's kind of a tough one. How many 'WCW guys' aren't dead or crippled? Mine's going to stink because I'm only familiar with the Nitro-era.
Sting v. Ric Flair.
Chris Jericho v. Dean Malenko.
Cruiserweight gauntlet featuring Rey Misterio, Juventud Guererra, Psicosis, La Parka, and several of the other cruisers I can't remember the name of.
Raven v. DDP
Booker T v. Chris Benoit (even though WWE's pretty much done it to death, it was a highlight of the last few years of WCW)
And some way to work in Hall, Nash, Hogan, and Goldberg.

Only if they let them wrestle the WCW way not the WWF way. I really miss the real cruiserweight matches.

Booker T v. Chris Benoit (even though WWE's pretty much done it to death, it was a highlight of the last few years of WCW)I'll do you one better. Booker T v Chris Benoit... best of seven IN ONE NIGHT. It would, as a necessity of time, probably be a little on the rushed side... I'd have to book double-pins for both guys just to move things along. But it's a cool and fitting idea, IMO.
Man, I watched Booker vs Benoit on the Benoit DVD a few days ago, and I'd forgotten how good Booker used to be. Wow!

If that means I'll be able to see at least one night of great cruiserweight action, bring it on. Jushin Liger vs. Ultimo Dragon, please.
I don't care about anything else.

Just give me a real cruiserweight match and I'll be happy, hopefully featuring the return of Kidman. A Sting vs Flair match would be awesome as well.

Ric Flair vs. Sting
DDP vs. Raven
Rey Mysterio Jr. & Billy Kidman vs. Psicosis and Juventud
Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg
Harlem Heat vs. American Males
Eddie Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko
Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho
My card sucks, I really can't remember WCW well since there wasn't any WCW programming in the Philippines until 1996-97. Regardless, I was tempted to put Pillman and Steve Austin on there, same with Arn Anderson.
AJ Styles (he was in WCW) I don't remember AJ Styles in WCW at all...
Oh you mean Air Styles :D

Oh man, I miss the mid 90's WCW. My card would look like this:
Sting vs. Ric Flair
Chris Benoit vs. Raven in a "Raven's Rules" match
Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio
Dean Malenko vs. Eddie Guerrero
DDP vs. Randy Savage
The Outsiders vs. The Steiner Brothers
"Hollywood" (Black & White) Hulk Hogan vs. Goldberg

AJ Styles (he was in WCW)If you have to inform/remind people that a person actually was in WCW, he's probably not a suitable person for a reunion show. Ditto for Hardcore Hak. :)

If you have to inform/remind people that a person actually was in WCW, he's probably not a suitable person for a reunion show. Ditto for Hardcore Hak. :) No one remembers Styles in WCW because he was there for the last month or two before the company was bought out. He was also a part of that failed Cruisierweight tag-team division, along with his partner Air Paris, hence his name in WCW Air Styles (which is incredibly lame).
Hardcore Hak and Mr. JL aren't remembered often for their WCW runs, but this thread is for a card we would personally like to see. I absolutely hate Goldberg and can't stand watching Hogan hop around the ring therefore I wouldn't want them on my card.
Sandman and Raven had a classic feud in ECW and alot of entertaining matches, so that match would be great IMO.
Eddie Guerrero and Jerry Lynn have also had some great matches, but they are always working for different companies so they hardly ever have matches together.

For me, it wouldn't be a WCW show without some sort of Horsemen presence -- preferably Flair, Arn, Ole and Blanchard -- but I know Ole might not be on best of terms with the rest. If so, Luger.

Sting vs. Chris Benoit
The Cruiserweight Invitationals mentioned by others (include Shannon Moore, Jamie Knoble, and Shane Helms, that's right Hurricane in his WCW gimmick.)
Steiners vs. Outsiders (like previously mentioned)
Hugh Morris vs. Norman Smiley (LOL)
Some kind of return of Vampiro (I actually liked that guy, seriously.)
Vince Russo vs. Mancow vs. Mean Gene vs. Mark Madden vs. Jimmy Hart (HAHAHAHAHA, that's evil)
LOL my matches suck but anything that made WCW laughably bad should be included (including Cheetum the Midget, Chucky of Child's Play, David Arquette, Jay Leno, etc.)

Russo in one on one matches against every person/tag team listed Russo isn't that bad! WCW's death was not all his fault, he wasn't able to cross the line like he was during his WWF run. Stuff like David Arquette as the champ, was Russo's idea, but he didn't think it would go over well with fans and asked the other writers and big wigs and they all agreed it would be good for the company with Ready to Rumble out in theaters at the time. Russo's done more good than bad IMO, but he will always be more about the entertainment aspect of wrestling.

It is true that Eric Bischoff had some incredibly lame ideas -- pop culture icons in PPVs (Jay Leno, Dennis Rodman after he wasn't news), NWO Sold Out, 3 hour Nitro, gigantic NWO, Hog/Road Wild in Sturgis with a $0 gate. However, didn't Vince Russo do a ton of stuff creatively merely because he thought all wrestling fans were on the Internet and reading what was going on behind the scenes? Therefore, when Bill Goldberg says he "didn't want to turn heel", it doesn't make sense to the fans, even if they understand it, because they want to maintain their suspension of disbelief. He also did other stuff like create characters just to get back at WWE figureheads (Oklahoma for JR) and the Turner S&P (The tag team, Standards and Practices).
It is true that Eric Bischoff did some of the same -- (Vincent for Vince McMahon, calling out Vince McMahon to a match at a PPV after they were losing), however I didn't necessarily think calling Virgil, Vincent, and having 5 minutes of a PPV devoted to a ten count for McMahon was as detremental as pushing down tons of cruiserweights because he didn't think they could draw or holding personal grudges against tons of people in the back. Plus, Bischoff brought WCW to new-found prosperity that they had never seen before and had Nitro beat Raw for 83 straight weeks. Russo just took a bad company and made them worse off than when he entered. What's worse is that he seemed oblivious to the fact, calling himself the savior of WCW the whole time.
Let's not forget that the Powers That Be was such a stupid gimmick, which grounded Chavo and brought lame storyline after lame storyline. The time when I got completely turned off WCW was somewhere in that late 1999 stretch when you would have a lazy 3 hour program that just wasn't worth watching at all.
On a side note -- Am I the only one that went completely against which brand the viewers liked more? In 1996 and 1997, IMO, the WWE was at the top of their game, especially concerning the main event picture, whereas WCW got staler and staler as the NWO grew larger and larger. Then in 1998, when people switched to WWE, it had lost most of what I loved about it in those previous years and now had huge angles involving Austin vs McMahon and a lousy lower card.
