The trailer itself was disappointing, (SELL ME ON THE MOVIE, NOT THE DVD!) But what little we did get to see of the film looked really interesting. That shot of the Bat flying in through the window... I wonder, is that going to be a recreation of the famous "A Bat! It's an omen, I shall become a Bat!" scene, or something more sinister, (Like the Bat IS dracula.)

Can't wait to see!

OMG the movie has special features! I think the dvd will be made out of plastic too!
I was expecting the trailer from comic kan...
I mean at least I saw somthing, but... that type of advertisment is for things that people already know about, like episode box sets, or movies.

Hmm, is it me, or do the writers of DC shows hang around this forum and steal my story ideas and themes?

Hint: You'll have no clue what I'm talking about unless you've read my fics.

this movie looks like it's gonna be just an extended episode of the TV show, a la MOTBW. Does anyone know what AR it's made in?

Oh hell yeah. Peter Stormare as Dracula sounds awesome. I was sketpical at first, as I've heard him do Satan and a crazy prison guy...but the Dracula sounds great.

The footage they showed at Comic-con was like 15 minutes long.... i don't think they could show that as a trailer...

I thought the Trailer seemed AWESOME. i can't WAIT for this movie. it looks great... the scene with the "swat" dude getting pulled up into the shadows... the mention of the blood bank scene (which is supposed to be really cool), and the Bat flying through the window... i bet it's a flashback to when he decides to become batman. That would be sweet.

I'm a fan of The Batman, i have enjoyed it since the premier last year when everyone hated it, while still not loved it is not hated as much, but i supported it all the way.

since it was first announced i have not liked the idea of "batman vs dracula" it just seems very silly to me...
even with all the praises it got at comiccon and whatever i do not like it, this trailer didn't do a thing to change my opinion either....

I just hope Mattel has the foresight to make a Dracula action figure

Tha's not going to happen, and if it did, we'd get 1 VERY hard to find Dracula figure, and 15 Batman varients that have nothing to do with the show. Oh yea, maybe another Penguin and Joker figure...

Legally, writers and producers of TV shows and cartoons can't read fanfiction or look at fanart without opening themselves to legal recourse, should an idea that is even vaguely similar to the one they saw in said fanfiction/art pop up in a future episode. Or so I've heard.

And in any case, um, why would anyone want to steal an idea from a fanfic? Granted, there are some very good ones out there, but seriously, 90% of it is crap, and I'd think the writers would have more important things to do than nick someone else's The Batman plot. Such as making their own, maybe.

And the trailer is...eh. Not hating it, but not loving it, either. They fail to impress, I suppose. Ah well.

Meh. It was neat seeing some animation from the movie and it did get me more interested, but as a trailer it fails to impress.

I think the last good trailer I saw from WHV for a DTV was Return of the Joker. As I recall, MOTB was pretty shoddy too. What was good about ROTJ was it was over a minute and focused on the story and then the DVD...instead of flipping back and forth.

In either case...wee Stormare!

Not bad, kind of short. I just can't get the sound to work at the library computer.

It was okay. I'm a little iffy about Dracula. Though I'm a big monster fan, I've found that there are more versions of Dracula that dislike than ones that I like.

I wish that trailer tried to sell the movie and not the DVD.

It's Batman. They don't need to try to "sell" Batman. People already know what to expect from Batman.

There's just something about this whole basic premise I don't like. I've nothing against a good vampire story, but come on, Dracula himself? I suppose the name alone would get passive fans interested, since both Batman and Dracula are instantly recognizable characters, but come on, would Nocturna have been too much of a stretch?

Of course I'm going to give it a shot - but I hope it turns out to be more than just an "extended episode" of the show. DTVs should be reserved for special event stories that involve life-altering changes to the characters; hopefully this will be one of those.

More people will respond to "Dracula" than "Nocturna."

^ I beleive since DTVs started being good. This movie looks okay, i will pick it up i guess. But, i just hope Dracula is not reffered to as THe Dracula and has a walkman and converses.

Well, when I first heard about it, it sounded more than a little corny. Seeing this trailer has done little to improve on that initial feeling. Only the ravings from comiccon people are making me look forward to this DTV. I've avoided spoilers, but any time the footage is mentioned it's with glowing reports; I just hope the people who attended aren't easily impressed and I'm getting my hopes up for nothing. If it's of the same quality of recent episodes of the show, however, it should be pretty good.

While i really think that would be cool, i honestly can't think of a Batman DTV that has EVER done that... except maybe RotJ. Sub Zero? no... maybe for Mr. Freeze... sort of, but it didn't even translate to the show, so it made no difference. MotP wasn't even a DTV. MotB CERTAINLY didn't abide by this "rule."

I think this movie will be great though. i'd bet money that it opens more up about Batman's origin. I can tell it's gonna have some really moody, iconic scenes in it. I think it'll be a winner (even if the preview for it was kinda' lacking).

The trailer was pretty lackluster. Oh heck, I'll just say it. It was crap. Special features to last an eternity? Not on the press release I read. Oh well, the interview with Duane Capizzi made me more interested. I want to see the one scene that will blow my mind.

Oh come on. Not every DTV needs to have sidekicks getting violated or something. Not should they. I think they should also be done as cool feature length things.

I think this'll be a blast.

I just meant a single Dracula. Would make a cool deluxe set with the DVD. But I read over at LoG we aren't getting a Dracula figure...

I thought A batman and Dracula figure were two of the items included in the delux release of this movie. Or has that changed?
