If you could pick only one Warner Bros. cartoon, one single film, as your favorite, which one, and why?

I'd choose Chuck Jones' "Feline Frameup"(1954). I just never get tired of it, it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen and gets me every time.

Matthew! Just ONE?

Well, I don't think it's my all time fave LT/MM, but the one that makes me laugh every time I see it is ROBIN HOOD DAFFY(1958).

Honorable mention - Any of Chuck's Three Bears cartoons, but especiallyA BEAR FOR PUNISHMENT(1951). You'll understand why when you have kids of your own:)!

May I be permitted (since its not the whole cartoon) to cite the witchcraft battle (years before Harry Potter) between Count Bloodcount and Bugs inTRANSYLVANIA 6-5000? A stitch!

This was like picking a favorite tooth or snowflake!

I think mine would have to be "Tortoise Wins By A Hare "..... I never get tired of that one either, and it's got it all: Bugs Bunny, violence, action, "Black Coffee" on the soundtrack, fantastic Scribner animation, hilarious voice work by Blanc, and an edited suicide gag!!

"HOW DOES THAT MORON DO IT??!?!?!?"

My runner up would be "Bee-Deviled Bruin ". Man, that cartoon makes me crack up everytime I see it!!

I think it would have to be "Hare Ribbin'". Bugs Bunny, great effects, great dialogue, great McKimson animation, and TWO different violent endings!

"Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee---ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh!"

My runner-up would have to be "Fast and Furry-Ous". IMO, this is the way the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons shoul've been animated.

Yeah, there isn't a Three Bears cartoon that doesn't get me to tears before the cartoon ends.... :D

My third pick would probably go to Porky's Romance . It's another one that I just plain never get sick of.

It's IMPOSSIBLE for me to settle on just one but here are three that are certainly favorites of mine...

"FOX-TERROR" (5/11/1957) - This is the funniest Foghorn Leghorn cartoon I've seen in my life. It has BRILLIANT sight gags supplied by Michael Maltese (a rare Maltese/McKimson team-up) such as the phony game show set up, the running gag involving the dog's ever-growing annoyance in arriving after the alarm has been rung only to discover nothing there (He assumes the kid rooster just wants "a drink of water"), and, best of all, the wonderful gag involving the fold-up box (and the subsequent gag with the dog folding up Foggy without the use of the box). The "folding" gag is probably my favorite WB cartoon moment EVER!

"DOUGH RAY ME-OW" (8/14/1948) - It's cartoons as hilarious and wonderfully made as this that REALLY make me wish Davis had stayed a director longer. It was great gags by Lloyd Turner and a wonderful storyline (Heathcliff receives his master's fortune unless he dies at which point the fortune reverts to Louie). Best gags: "Duh-hh, I got homesick, Louie.", Heatchliff playing William Tell and Radio, and the consequences of Heathcliff colliding head on with a locomotive. The ending also brings a big smile to my lips as we discover Heathcliff can actually decide whether he wants to live or die ("If I can't take it with me, I'm not goin'!").

"OFTEN AN ORPHAN" (8/13/1949) - In light of Jones other masterpieces like "One Froggy Evening" and "What's Opera, Doc?", here's a cartoon of his that HARDLY gets mentioned. A shame because it's probably the funniest one he ever did. It is a GREAT vehicle for the sadly seldom-used Charlie Dog at his absolute best; EVERY gag in the cartoon makes me laugh out loud (his claim of being a "labrador retreiver", his hunger for a "ham-and-eggs" breakfast, and his hilarious hysterical monologue describing the tortures of city life). This is a Jones/Maltese team-up at its' best.

Mine are RABBIT RAMPAGE, Bugs was very funny on this short.

Other very funny cartoons: MY BUNNY LIES OVER THE SEA, SCAREDY CAT and the great quantity of Road Runner cartoons like "Fast and Furry-ous" and "Guided Muscle". :dot:

Only ONE? That's tough, but I would go with "Duck Amuck" by Chuck Jones. Lots of great gags and dialoge in that one, and where else do you get to see Daffy Duck get into a fight with himself?
"Would it be too much to ask if we could make up our minds, Hmmm?"

Either Long-Haired Hare, Book Review, or Hillbilly Hare.

Opera, scat, and square dance...I guess I like music!

Hello, there. New user, first post.

As much as I love Mel Blanc & Carl Stalling's work, my single choice would have to be "Three Little Bops". It is the only one I put on a tape by itself so I could see it over and over and over.
