Man, what KICK ASS trailers! Attack of the Clones that had ALOT of footage in it....very extended and very nice, Spider Man with Kirsten Dunst in the rain (and I stress....Kirsten Dunst in the rain! Nudge nudge, know what I mean, know what I mean?), and the Mini Austin Powers short/trailer! These were the three best trailers I have seen in a long time and to see all three back to back was an amazing treat.

The Spider-Man trailer was awesome. :D

Yours didn't have the Blade 2 teaser trailer? Man...Kirsten Dunst in the rain...gratitous...but who's complaining?

Ours had a Blade 2 trailer instead of the Spiderman.

I had The Scorpion King (ugh!), Spider-Man, The Time Machine, Scooby Doo (tease!), and Austin Powers: Goldmember.
That Spider-Man trailer was cool, especially Aunt May's comment: "You're not Superman, you know."
:D
Lord of the Rings kicked some serious ass! I've got to read the books now!

Spider-Man, Blade 2, Austin Powers 3, and Scooby-Doo. Not bad, though. Y aknow what was odd? There was a Scooby trailer infront of Not Another Teen Movie...

I had Spiderman, Scorpion King, Blade 2, new Austin Powers, and the new M. Night Shyamalan movie, Signs! Signs didnt show too much except a bunch of crop circles, but it looks like it'll be interesting. And boy, i dont remember seem Kirsten Dunst that way in the rain the first time I saw that trailer. No complaints though. ;)

A new M. Night Shyamalan movie about crop circles? I'm there!

I yelled "GOLDMEMBER!!! AUSTIN POWERS 3!!!" the second the Austin Powers one began. Everyone in the theatre looked at me, and laughed.
"Yeah right"
"Moron"
Then after it ended they all turned around and looked at me, and then again when the next one started...
"BLADE 2!!!"
I was a god...ok a real smart guy...

I originally thought this thread was a joke....
We had no trailors before the flick. It went straight to film. But I did get a groovy mini-poster (they were already out of the bookmarks and the Frodo face poster, grrr...)

Oh, yeah, we had the trailer for Time Machine too. I don't know about that movie. It's going to take some great talent to make that movie work. It looks like it might have alot packed into it and might ultimately be confusing and just too much. But I sure did like the special effects.
That Attack of the Clones trailer was the best, tho. I am so pumped up to see this movie now, even more so than I was to see Phantom Menace. And there was NO Jar Jar in the trailer! I can only hope to God that Jar Jar is not in this movie!
There was another trailer we had...the one with Aliyah? Where she is a vampire. It didn't stirke me as too interesting. The only vampire movie I liked was Blade.

He doesn't.. :p
And Jar Jar WAS in the trailer. You just saw him very briefly. I highly doubt if the gungans will have a prominite roll in this one, like they did in the last. (well, actually, it depends on which one you saw. The first 2 trailers had him in it, but I don't think the 3rd one [which mainly focus's on anakin and padme] does)
JJB will probably have a lower roll in this one.

That Aaliyah movie is Queen of the Damned, a WB movie due in early 2002.

Really? I heard that
Jar Jar is in the Galactic Senate.

Hmm, it was only a rumor, so I dont really know what to believe. Actually, I dont care if JJB sticks around or not. Was he annoying? Yes. Was it his fault PH was such a disappointment? No. Maybe Lucas should hire some real scriptwriters.

God, if that was the case, no wonder the galaxy spiraled into the control of the Dark Empire!

Yes, it was his fault. It was his baby, after all. The man in charge is responsible for EVERYTHING.
And for JJB...the only scene I want to see him in in AOTC is his grueling and bloody death. A violent and bloody death that would put any scene in Pulp Fiction to shame.

Maybe Jar Jar Binks will be a different character in this movie. Anakin grew up, why not Jar Jar?

I've a theory that might explain everything. JJB realizes Queen Amidala is a hottie. JJB joins the galactic senate to get close with Queen Amidala, but when he makes a move on her, Anakin snaps and kills JJB which sets off his descent into darkness. That would explain everything, wouldnt it? :yakko:

Just to set the record straight:
Jar Jar isn't dead. He's become a senator representing the Gungans in the senate. Padme is a also a senator now representing Naboo. (She became senator after Palpatine became Chancellor). Jar Jar doesn't die in Episode II, but his role is greatly diminished according to several sources, including the scriptment that has leaked onto the net. His screentime is far less than what it was in TPM, which probably makes a lot of people happy.
Also, he appears briefly in all 3 teaser trailers, but he's always in the background, you have to look hard to find him.
As for LOTR, I thought the movie was great! The trailers I got were:
Episode II
Austin Powers 3
Blade 2
Spider-Man
I had already seen the Episode II one, but the rest were all new, and they were awesome! I especially loved the Spider-Man one, and I can't wait for the movie!
Did anyone else totally love the music near the end of the Spidey trailer?

For me, it was Spiderman, Episode II, Blade 2 and Goldmember.
The audience reaction for the Episode II trailer was memorable... we had all seen the footage that had completely blown everyone away (myself included), and then the logo came up. There was stunned silence for perhaps a second. Then, some boisterous guy shouted "yeah!" in a frat-boyish way. That caused us all to erupt in laughter and applause.
By the way... any of you get exposed to commercials before the trailers? Normally I don't like this trend, but there was a Gamecube commercial that showed off Star Fox, Metroid Prime and the new Mario! Drooool....

I'm more excited to see Spider-Man on the big screen becuase it will just look better. It's the big screen, which makes everything look better.

Yeah, we got the Game Cube commercial too. Made me wonder if in the future we would ever see a movie theater like that, with screens all around the audience. Like a theater in the round, but around the people!

here are the ones I remember seeing:
Signs
AP3: Goldmember
Queen of the Damned
Blade 2
...also got the GameCube commercial
Wish they would've thrown in SW: EPII or Spider-Man in there
The sound was horrible in the theater I was at too - everytime the score would hit a high pitch the sound just warbled into a muddy mess. Hopefully everyone else's experience was better than mine. Great movie though!

I did get the signs trailer..
I also got Spidey =D, Blade II, John Q, AP3-GM, Scorp. King, Queen o t Damned...
no Eppie II. I was pissed. Very Pissed. almost as pissed as when I missed it on Harry Pothead.
Not only that, but the trailers had a big scratch on them, cause a big vertical line to run through the whole thing.
LotR was scratched up too. An this was the 1st day...
(I think they played the heck out of it before it premeired, showing it to friends & family...)

I didn't even know he had a new movie coming out. I take it that it's not the long awaited sequel to Unbreakable>

Nope, I'd guess we'll have to wait another year before the sequel comes out. The new one has Mel Gibson and crop circles and probably something evil happening. The trailer was very mysterious.

I (think) I missed the first one, but I saw Signs, Blade 2, Austin Powers 3, and Spider-Man. Signs and Spider-Man look bad-ass.
