You know the issue of Amazing Spider-Man that was supposed to come out today? And the issue supposed to come out on Jan. 2nd? Well - those issues have been pushed back to late January and late Febuary.
*Sigh*

I blame JMS. It's certainly not JR, Jr.'s fault, as he's been pencilling two comics a month for years with no trouble.

What does JMS have going on? Isn't there a new Babylon 5 series due out soon, and he's got Rising Stars, and Midnight Nation, and some other projects I am sure. He seems to be stretching himself rather thin. I think he's going to have to start taking the Kevin Smith route, where the comic company will require a certain number of scripts in the can before they go ahead and release the series. If DC had put out Green Arrow when they got Kevin Smith's scripts, I doubt they would have been able to keep that book monthly. It would surely have suffered delays like Kevin's Daredevil run.
Whatever these hot shot writers are at fault for, being a hack is not one thing we can pin on them. I'd rather have a book delayed then have them go all Byrne on us.

Yeah, the problem is JMS is stretched too thin. He's got the two Image comic series going on right now, as well as Spidey. And he took some time off to work on the new B5 movie that's premiering on Sci-Fi in January as well as some other projects.

What sucks is I'm interested in the book because it's Spidey, not cuz JMS is writing it, (although he IS writing good stories) so I'd rather there be no Midnigt Nation, Rising Stars, or B5 movie coming, and more Spidey.
At least Amazing's not the better of the two core books. If PP started getting this late, I would get really angry.
**growls**
I like his work on Spidey - I'm FRANTIC to see how the Aunt May thing is resolved, but its becoming annoying with the delays :(
At least PPSM isnt delayed. then I'd be positively rabid ^___^

Peter Parker has been a great comic! The Jenkins/Buckingham team have been vastly underrated! I've been really enjoying this book. And I, too, am eager to see how this Aunt May thing plays out...
