What looks better?

Stroker and Hoop?
Stroker And Hoop?
Stroker & Hoop?

Hmm...

The whole Ron Howard thing was funny

Ron Howard thing was a good idea. But it's still not really working.

I hope this doesn't stick around for long, because it's all too mundane.

Chemicals in the water. So that explains it.

I drink bottled water.

Once again, the concept is there (a Ron Howard mind control conspiracy!) but the execution just isn't. And the look of the show is still bleh.

Though on the good side there were a couple of lines I chuckled at this one.

This show frustrates me. This plot was better than last weeks weirdly gimmicky affair and there are some good ideas for jokes in it, but somehow the way it plays out is very underwhelming and innefective. The account who delivered the cash payment wanting to keep the briefcase was a funny idea and in a Seth MacFarlane show or The Venture Brothers it probably would've been very funny, but on Stroker and Hope it just leaves me thinking about how much better it would probably be on a funnier show.

DAMN!

The good kind ;)

Granted it might be slightly due to me not getting my hopes up too high compared to last week, but damn it all if this wasn't ACTUALLY funny this time! Granted (again) it wasn't as funny as the pilot (and YES, I'm quite aware some didn't like the pilot but liked the second episode, and some didn't like any of them, Just listing what I liked.) but this episode actually had JOKES!

Good Points:

LOVED the Ron Howard subplot when it got started (Much better than last week's more-or-less random referencing via a band made up of guys with the name Diamond) and the Cannibals that didn't want to kill so they stole useless organs was actually clever.

Stroker of course steals the show being an ass. An ass who tries to be a good father and fails, but he tries and hilarious while doing it. Hoop was funny again, and THIS time ACTUALLY helped save the day (Not perfectly, but then it provides more comedy that way.) C.A.R.R. has gotten very little time after being a big part of the pilot, but at least he's got more time here than last week, and had some funny robot-car-related lines with and without the helmet, as well as some funny NON-gimicky-related lines with the helmet (although putting it on his engine and the few lines about being in control for once was cute though).

The ending was SO bad for Stroker and you felt sorry "Lil' Stroker", but it was SO funny! ( Does that make me a bad person :p )

Bad Points:

Still a little humor-deficient in some areas, NOWHERE near as bad as last week's, but still needs much improvement.

Hoop is funny and C.A.R.R. can be too, but they need to become more important. I'm seriously glad C.A.R.R. isn't as uncaring as in the pilot, but tapping into his inner ass from that and causing trouble (OCCASIONALLY so its not old) and just being an ass and less whiny could help.

Plus I really, REALLLLLLLLLLY hope there's not a "What Famous Person Will Be Oh-So Evil Tonight?" plot every episode. THIS time it was funny; The Diamonds can kiss Stroker's ass.

IF-(damn I need to cut on the capitals. Or long posts that people tend to skim so I'm forced to get their attention this way)-if they tend to go more to plots like this (and less on the famous actor thing), make Hoop and C.A.R.R. more important, and seriously play Stroker's hilarious assinine behavior and troublesome relationship with his son, the show could actually go up big time.

I give this episode a B-.

( Watch as my hopes get too high up again and next week is like the Diamonds episode and sucks  ..... )

Much better than last week's episode. Still very random in plot devices, but much less random than WS's regular programming.

You know, after watching these past two episodes I'm surprised to find out Hoop is straight. I assumed he was gay after watching the pilor due to the voice and the cross dressing.

Anyway, the ending would have been funnier if Stroker used that mind control device to get back at the kids that made fun of his son.

This episode actually worked! I laughed! The whole Ron Howard thing...Brilliant! The opening scene at the bar was well done. I couldn't stop laughing when that homeless guy had the limousine and the whole briefcase scene was hilarious. I officially love Stroker. But the only bad part was the subplot with Stroker's son, that just dragged. A big Improvement over last week's awful episode. I hope all the eps are as good as this one!

4/5

I didn't see last week's episode, but I liked this better than the pilot. I think it will improve as the season goes.

Slightly above last week's.
Greatly above the pilot.
Once again, Stroker works, Hoop doesn't, CARR's best being quiet except for the occasional KITT parody.
And Stroker's son pisses me off. I like Stroker being a deadbeat dad, especially his ex, but I wish his son wasn't a deadbeat son.

"You and my appendix have something in common. You'll both be spending time in the cooler."

That was a funny episod, much better then either last weeks or the pilot. I actually thought the subplot with Stroker's son wasn't bad(the L'il Stroker jerseys were cool)but the whole Ron Howard thing was downright hilarious. The best part though was the dog in the cauldron eating Stoker's appendix.

Man, I'm really coming on this show.

It was better than the first two episodes, but that's not saying much. However, I thought the stuff with Ron Howard was hilarious. But people eating organs that the body doesn't need it just plain gross.

anyone else feel like the ron howard plot was more a south park device? it seems like it would have been more at home in one of they're eps...

i still think this show would be alot funnier and better quality if it was condensed to an aqua teen length...the plots and secondary characters really start draggin halfway through..

This show frustrates me. This plot was better than last weeks weirdly gimmicky affair and there are some good ideas for jokes in it, but somehow the way it plays out is very underwhelming and innefective. That's what bugs me about this show, too. When I watched this week, I kept thinking, "If I were just reading this script, it would be pretty funny. So why aren't I laughing?" Something's just off in the actual execution.

They should just have Andy Dick voice Hoop....

I thought it was funny all the way, but I think I can see why some people are turned off. The protagonists seem almost ancillary to the story and the plot fails to tie everything into the big punch line. I mean, the gags work fine and the characters themselves are funny, but the plot doesn't quite click. You know what I mean?
